Some say that dogs have a special ability to sense unseen things....

"Dogs staring at unseen things..."

Or it could be more like sneaky dogs:

We build buildings that produce strange audio resonances, and dogs hear things we can't and it disturbs them. Similarly,there is creepy Egyptian statuary or John Podesta art collections with content that disturbs men and dogs. She never freaks out about coyotes. But! I think from the way that she is not interested in going outside, there must be a mountain lion in the area.

Coyotes howling around my house at 2am, last night! All outside cats accounted for this morning, LOL! :)
