On the iPhone, I turned the phone on wanting to read it again in the texts file—and it went away and I couldn’t find it. Is it still on the phone, or not? What were others’ experiences with it?

Same here. No record.

That seems like a serious flaw in the system. IMO the alert should be saved to a text message thread - or SOMEWHERE. Because most people are going to click it away and then look for more info or call/text someone in a real emergency. As it is now, if the alert has valuable info, they won’t be able to retrieve.

If someone has a different experience, or knows how to save an alert message, please share.

On mine I have a thread in my messaging app (samsung android generic) that contains all the amber alerts and emergency alerts I receive. I got my alert right on time, and it went into the emergency alert thread, and there it sits. Tip top. Tippy top.
