Utah man arrested in ricin probe after suspicious mailings to Trump, Pentagon
FTA:
A senior defense official confirmed to Fox News that Allen is a Navy veteran who served for four years, between 1998 and 2002. He worked as a damage control fireman apprentice.
...
The Associated Press, citing court documents, reported that Allen was charged in 2004 in a child sex-abuse case involving two girls with whom he had an unspecified “relationship of trust.” He later pleaded guilty to lesser neglect and abuse charges and did not have to register as a sex offender.
That same year, a woman filed a protective order against him in a separate case. He disputed her allegations, the details of which are not public, but agreed to the protective order.
In 2008, he pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated assault and served about 2 1/2 years in prison, authorities said. He was released in 2011.

So it's a subpoena duces tecum then. Odd, I never thought of prosecutors as *receiving* those.
Deeply appreciate legal explanations. The expertise in this group is nothing short of amazing.
...we can still make time for prayers.
....
Most definitely. Thanks for the reminder.
Prayers up for your health issues.

‘Anti-meme law’ could see Mexicans jailed for posting insulting images
FTA:
Jose Kirsch Sanchez, the left-wing congressman who proposed the reforms, said they were intended to protect vulnerable internet users from abuse.
But critics have said the legislation is broad, with local media dubbing it anti-meme law.
Some suggested local politicians were seeking to prevent themselves from being ridiculed online.
The eastern states outgoing governor, Miguel Angel Yunes, said he planned to veto the law, which he described as unconstitutional for violating the freedom of expression of the people of Veracruz.

I can attest that as late as 1976 when I had my first child we were given a castor oil/orange juice cocktail in an attempt to bring on labor once a week past due date hit. I was quite pleased to deliver 3 days prior to due date and avoid the nasty stuff.
Former top FBI lawyer James Baker gave "explosive" closed-door testimony on Wednesday detailing for congressional investigators how the Russia probe was handled in an "abnormal fashion" reflecting "political bias," according to two Republican lawmakers present for the deposition.
"Some of the things that were shared were explosive in nature," Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., told Fox News. "This witness confirmed that things were done in an abnormal fashion. That's extremely troubling."
"During the time that the FBI was putting -- that DOJ and FBI were putting together the FISA (surveillance warrant) during the time prior to the election -- there was another source giving information directly to the FBI, which we found the source to be pretty explosive," said Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio.
LOL!
.
Amen to your prayer.
Thank you.
I was very disappointed. My cell phone did not receive the alert, even though I have AT&T. Guess my phone isn’t smart enough.
