I had a pet rabbit that had free reign of the back yard. They are smart but in a different way than a cat or a dog and you have to treat them very gently if you ever want them to like you. It was the dog’s best friend even that dog used to be feral for a while and loved to hunt wild rabbits.

After this the cat thanked the rabbit by killing and eating it.

Another crappy pet owner stands there with a camera while their pet is trapped. Let the rabbit dig it out.

If you think about it this rabbit used some critical higher level thinking. First to rescue the cat friend. Then to dig a hole in the first place. Then to push the excess dirt out of the way so more could be dug to make the hole big enough for the cat to crawl out. Then kicked back and acted like it was nothing. A very cat-like thing to do. No wonder they were buddies.

Well, the cat did get stuck in the shed.

In that case the rabbit was smarter.
