Now, my issue: The two front doors.

It doesn't make sense. One door is for attacker, the other for victim?

36 years ago, she had a problem leaving the bedroom, not the house. How does 2 front doors solve the bedroom issue? The two front doors would have locks just like the 36 yo bedroom did.

If I had her fffffears, I'd make sure there were two doors to every room. A door on all four sides of the house and windows one can escape through easily. I'd also have a second floor. Her present house looks like a jail cell. I'd be freaking out in it. I only freak out when I have to go in the crawl space under my house
