Leaving the meeting with Sens. Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Jeff Flake, Joe Manchin said, There have been no decisions. We meet all the time ... I think you all know we trust each other. We are friends. Which is so hard to find around here.
We are still talking. There are no decisions on anything. There are some concerns that people have and were going to try to close the loop, he said.
About the hearing, he said, both were credible.

Manchin is a loser. He probably told on classmates in grade school. Both were credible?????
It amazes me how FReepers from all around this nation can say this with such certainty while FReepers right here in the Mountain State are walking on eggshells over the outcome of this election.
The POS in Alabama is voting no.
Okay class, pay attention.
These senators are bargaining with the Republicans and the White House, gaining concessions on issues of importance to the lobbyists who pay them.
It’s D.C., Babies.
Doug Jones is preparing for his future career as an ex-Senator/K Street lobbyist.
I you people weren't such assholes you would prolly have more friends ! in fact i know you would !
How about “he knocked the effing skin off that ball, which he just sent into orbit?”
How about he KO’d them in the first round?
I really, REALLY hope that Manchin has run out the string on his phony “I’m independent!!”* act ...
*Until Chuckie Schumer tells me to sit my ass down.
Yup. When is he gone... 2020? I know he doesn't serve a 6 year term.
I’m a West Virginian and I think Manchin is toast after his initial firearms related antics in the Senate and his daughter’s action with Epipens. He’s been trying to suck a basketball through a garden hose since the Senate misstep.

Political talk. Speaking out of the both sides of the mouth.
These four who seem to be confused about how to vote are playing pure politics. They should listen to Lindsey Graham who just could not take it anymore, and decided to speak the truth, loud and clear yesterday. I, personally, believe that this situation with Judge Kavanaugh, is going to awaken a lot of people to the desperate evil which is going on in Congressional left. If you are a decent and honest person, you cannot miss it. This is a watershed moment in our history and probably rests in the hands of the four: Collins, Murkowski, Flake and Manchin. They had better take the long view, rather than to cowtow to any base or rely on sticking their finger in the air for the next election. History has a way of finally getting around to the truth and this chapter will be no different.

Your post immediately reminded me of Judas and his 30 pieces of silver. There is nothing new under the sun. However, I believe I know that Judge Kavanaugh and his family have a great following now and are going to be fine. Through my own prayer, I feel comforted that God is using their faith and strength to show this nation what evil is capable of and how we are to confront it.
Yes - it was all the lies that put Ford's "credibility" just a smidgen behind Judge Kavaaugh's
She lied about flying. She lied about the date of the 2-door remodeling (2008 NOT 2012), which was a big deal that brought back her "memory."
Still not up on ABA website. https://www.americanbar.org
I hear ya. I live in a very red county, but I don’t hear much of anything being said about the race. I hang out at a buddy’s business in Lewis, and most folks I talk to there seem to think he will hang on. The ads against Morrissey over lobbying for the drug companies seem to be taking a toll. The fact that so many are now on Expanded Medicaid also helps Manchin.
I figure, as long as we don’t see the empty trailers with the “Manchin” banners on the hillsides, the Rats think he’s ahead.
I don’t doubt that.
