Maybe no name had some kind of hold over LG that was broken when he died.
Win or lose on this vote, I am looking forward to a libel suit by Judge Kavanaugh. It should be filed against the lying accusers, as well as the newspapers who reprinted it and the Senators who suborned it. The discovery in the case will not only prove libel, but perjury. A good attorney can, through discovery, track the emails and messages from beginning to end and put together the conspiracy that made this fiasco happen. Feinstein was the leader, perhaps with Hillary in the background. Schumer was involved, no doubt. The rest just played along.
It could be epic. Please, Judge K, do it.
One other thing about the coming testimony of Kavanaugh: He may decide to shame the Senators by doing their job for them. He can start by citing legal standards that apply to charges against a person, including the right to cross examine and confront their accusers. He can remind them that he has taken that right from him, and then pose a few of the questions that they should have asked Saint Crissy. Then he can talk about all of the holes in her story, and how no one has addressed those. Then he can talk about his denial. How he knows it’s not him because he never was on top of a girl his entire high school experience. A guy would remember that 100 percent, believe me. They remember every girl they were with in high school, and what they did with them. Especially then, back when there was no online porno that warped young mens’ minds. We had only our girlfriends to obsess about. (Not that he should get into that aspect of it.)
He needs to walk the committee through the affidavits submitted by the other supposed witnesses. Slowly and methodically. He needs to explain to the dunces that, as a judge, this is not a case that can be filed, would be dismissed, not investigated (he was with DOJ) and is likely not even a crime.
They have forced him to be his own attorney and were I him, I would do all of those things, while maintaining my cool and not being seen as attacking the Senators, but shaming them.
A once decent man who had the same kind of common sense that good farmers had to have, but - sadly - probably past it (like so many senators)... and with a staff that isn't always reliable (like so many senators).

The only reason the FBI was brought in for Thomas vs Anita is/was that the allegations occurred in a Federal facility and both were Federal employees with FBI having jurisdiction. In Kavanaugh's case there was no Federal Coke can or Federal pubic hair.
I think that the sealed indictments are a cumulative number and don’t represent 52,000 Jeffmas presents to be opened, but rather show a tremendous amount of activity, to the tune of about one thousand percent more than in a normal year (given I think last year was about 5000 and years before more like 1000).

They should just say that based on the Biden Rule from 1992 Anita Hill hearings, FBI reports conclude nothing! They mean nothing, and there’s no reason to consider them.
But you’re right - they’re very specific, they want it investigated by the FBI. Why is that, I wonder? Do they think they can get one more favor out of embattled Deputy Attorney General Roddie (the Weasel) Rosenstein?
That explanation doesn’t completely add up. If No Name was his blackmailer, the others that were part of the cabal would know the information that was being used against him, and would still be using it. Something has happened that released LG from his fears, but I don’t think it is No Name’s death alone. It was happening a few months before that. Whatever it was, he has been released from some burden, or perhaps, another explanation, is that he was given information about what the cabal was up to that he didn’t have previously. I am glad to have him back, and I guess I won’t call him Linda again (unless he backslides).

The main value, IMO, of an FBI investigation is that it takes time. And with all the accusers lining up, that could take a while.

I’d have thought noname was more vulnerable to blackmail. Though the lot of them are well over that line, most likely.
Kavanaugh’s opening statement is doing some of what I said he should do.
I love how he is defending himself and how vehement he is. His poor wife has sadness in her eyes.
