Dr. Christine Blasey Ford‘s legal team has sent a letter (which can be seen below via NBC’s Frank Thorp) to the Senate Judiciary Committee amid continuous negotiations ahead of Thursday’s scheduled hearing.
In the letter addressed to Sen. Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Ford’s legal team cited Sen. Majority Leader’s Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) speech on the Senate floor on Monday afternoon as “flatly inconsistent” to Grassley’s promise of a “fair and credible process.”
“In our view, the hiring of an unnamed ‘experienced sex crimes prosecutor’ as Mr. Davis described in his email, is contrary to the Majority’s repeated emphasis on the need for the Senate and this Committee’s members to fulfill their constitutional obligations,” attorney Michael Bromwich wrote. “It is also inconsistent with your stated wish to avoid a ‘circus,’ as well as Dr. Blasey Ford’s repeated requests through counsel that senators conduct the questioning. This is not a criminal trial for which the involvement of an experienced sex crimes prosecutor would be appropriate.”

Yup, Ford has no intent on testifying. This is all a Kabuki play. Ford and her handlers will find some reason to be outraged and walk away from testifying. Until then they’ll continue to invent reasons to delay her appearance. And, of course, the Enemy Media will continue to defend Ford and the Dems.

Mconell in his speech today said the vote will happen in the Senate. Under the rules of the Senate McConnell has absolute authority to call the vote regardless of what happens in committee. He laid down the law today to the democrats.

Yes, that was a master stroke by Grassley. How could she claim it was unfair being questioned by a woman who has spent her career putting sex offenders in jail?

This is because everyone on the planet knows a reasonably competent prosecuting attorney will make Ford and her pushers look like fools. I vote Trey Gowdy.
They want the poor, innocent “victim” to be questioned by the “evil” men in the committee. That way they can claim she is being bullied and victimized all over again. That would be good for a lot of fund raising. Having a woman ask the hard questions would take that away.
I forgot to add this. I wonder if Ford realizes that once her usefulness is over and it is already over, the democrats will throw her under the bus. If she were still useful, the demonicrats would not have needed to bring out a second accuser whom indicated Kavanaugh was part of a gang rape gang. They are losing and desperate. I guess pedophilia is next?

That would include 75% of the male Senate members and 100% of the lame brained females. Of course, they don’t want any attorney doing the questioning who’s on top of their game. And no taking any kind of oath to avoid that pesky perjury charge.
I would also like to hear what she has to say so she could be blown out of the water on cross and then subject to criminal prosecution. It will not happen just as Ford's testimony will not happen.
I think the Ford ‘team’ will stroll into the hall, and some 20-minute exchange will occur, where the Ford ‘team’ says there won’t be a under-oath situation, and Grassley just grins and says this meeting is finished and they will now move onto stamping the process done...thus voting (passing of course), and handing this onto the entire senate. I think the Democrats will stand there in shock, and the Ford-team will now realize that the momentum is now gone.
Yeah..maybe but that’s not why collins wants her to testify. She wants cover to vote no.
There’s a very nice Hampton Inn in Green River WY, which is about where she should be on her journey across the US.
