President Trump and President Moon Jae-in walked into a room next to the one where they met for a brief signing ceremony of the renorgitatell free trade agreement between the US and South Korea.

They first spoke from podiums that flanked a polished wood table affixed with the presidential seal.

Standing behind Trump were VP Mike Pence, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, USTR Robert Lighthizer, and NEC chief Larry Kudlow.

Its a very big deal, Mr. Trump said. Its a great day for the United States and its a great day for South Korea.

This is long in coming many years, I will say, in coming, he said.

In addition to this deal, we have many other deals in the works reciprocal deals, he added.

Trump said that everyone from US farmers to pharmaceutical companies would have more access to the Korean market. He said automakers would be able to double the number of vehicles per year that they can sell in South Korea.

Were working very well on North Korea, Trump said to Moon. Im going to be meeting with Chairman Kim in the not-too-distance future.

After Trumps remarks were translated, Moon spoke. Translated, Moon said today we have made amendments and modifications to improve the FTA.

Im hopeful this will provide us with a platform to elevate our bilateral economic relations, Moon said.

Then the two leaders signed the agreement and shook hands.

As he left, Trump was asked again about Brett Kavanaugh. quick quotes:
