I have maybe 50 apps and don’t know what most of them are for.

About the only thing I use it for other than phone calls is to look up the Massey rankings as my computer for some reason will not open them.

I do have my car insurance and hope if a cop stops me, I can show my policy to him on it. Probably take too long and just have to show my cards.

The fact that the buttons all work to make or receive phone calls. What else would I use it for?

Maps

Travel unknown areas on auto pilot. After years of wifey’s terrible map reading the app is a God send.

For compatible cars, there is Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

VLC for Android.

I use it to play my music library through bluetooth to several of my vehicles.

I can see how the absolutely amazing location detector could be useful, especially if you are lost in the woods.

One thing which caught me by surprise is after I accepted the Walmart app, it lets me know when I have been shopping and suggests things I might have forgotten.

Once it even seemed to show where I was parked in their parking lot. Might have just been coincidence tho.

Before leaving your car in a big parking lot, if you push down on the blue dot in Google Maps showing where you are, you can use it later to find your car.

Ironically a significant number of the flashlight apps are actually malware:

The fact of the matter is it’s a post privacy world. You have a cellphone, you are tracked, accept it, and run the apps you want to run.

I have one called "HP-21". It perfectly turns your phone into an HP-21 Hewlett-Packard RPN calculator. It looks like an HP-21, works like an HP-21. Very, very well done.

8tracks is a great music app of playlists made by users who upload their own mp3s to make them. I’ve been exposed to a ton of music through it.
