A retired Navy admiral who oversaw the raid that killed Usama bin Laden has resigned from a Defense Department advisory board, after criticizing President Trump's decision to revoke a former CIA director's security clearance.
William McRaven, former head of U.S. Special Operations Command, left the Defense Innovation Board (DIB) on Aug. 20, Lt. Col. Michelle Baldanza, a Pentagon spokeswoman, said.
That was four days after he wrote in the Washington Post that Trump's actions revoking former CIA Director John Brennan's security clearance "embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation."
McRaven's op-ed carried the headline, "Revoke my security clearance, too, Mr. President."

Bye bye ya turd
Whatever happened to the days when security clearances were revoked automatically if you were not actively working in a position that required one?
If the Admiral is retired then he does not need a security clearance.
Send the biatch some Kleenex, kkthx. Oh, and thank you for your service, please disappear into oblivion....
Yep, kicked him out for being a whiny prig.
Good riddance.
Crying over stripping the security clearance of a Communist ex-CIA chief.
I wonder what position he was in line for had Hillary won?
Or he’s going to run for office...
I hope his security clearance is also revoked.
Retired to..........
become Bill Kristol’s candidate against Trump.
And Obama’s and the democrats’ pick too.
Good.
I agree wholeheartedly. (I was shocked when I first learned that their security clearances were not turned off when they left office. They certainly shut down all security access for low-level employees when they leave a government position, and that should apply to everybody, at all levels. Leaving their security clearance in place when they leave office makes absolutely no sense, other than maybe to help wealthy individuals in various sneaky ways who should not be helped like that.)
but this didn’t embarrass him?
Youtube: Reggie Love: Obama & I played spades when Osama was killed
While advisers huddled in the situation room, Love revealed that he and Obama played cards during part of the day.
“[President Obama] was like, ‘I’m not, I’m not going to be down there, I can’t watch this entire thing’,” Love said. “We must have played 15 hands-15 games of Spades.”...

Or is that a Spade calling a Half Spade a Spade? It gets so confusing anymore
Having a whole bunch of people running around with security clearances they dont need defeats the entire need to know basis for out national and defense secrets. It renders the security system a total farce. The entire world is laughing at this. ( if one of these ex- fed workers ever gets another fed or defense industry job where they need access again
, it can of course be reactivated for him then). And this is how it always worked before for people doing top secret military work.
The tradition is that senior fellows, who might be called on again for their expertise, might be kept ‘in the loop’. It is part of maintaining a knowledge pool instead of throwing it out with a retirement or an election.
No one from this administration is asking Brennan anything.
Moreso, it is not in any way an entitlement.
Naw, you embarrassed and humiliated yourself all by yourself. POTUS had nothing to do with it.
