"We're going to launch our own satellite — our own damn satellite to figure out where the pollution is and how we’re going to end it,"

Too late. Someone already charted it, Moonbeam.

Someone should tell this asshole that India and China are the only real sources of pollution compared to the rest of the planet.

... and it will go up, over, and down into the ocean, just like all of the other rockets.

Oh sure. Who’s going to analyze the data? Who’s going to collect the data? Who’s going to design and build the satellite?

Once again Jerry’s off in the weed

What does brown know about physics and math?

My bet would be, nothing.

Not to in anyway support or defend that moron Moonbeam, but he doesn't have to know shit(actually all he does know, there is this little place called CalTech and whole bunch of really really competent Universities and Corporations in California alone, not considering other sources available to Gaia worshiping cretins like Moonbeam and his fellow democraps.

By the way, here’s how he got his nickname Moonbean In his first invasion of the governor’s office, brown proposed a 5 billion satellite mostly for sheriff’s offices communication during emergencies. The republicans ridiculed him and called him moonbeam. Then Dukemejian got in and they put up a satellite for 10 Billion. Became a model for emergency communications during fires and earthquakes. Moonbeam indeed!

I would add he spends 90% of his time obsessing on trumnp and trying to lead the west coast resistance. This is total waste of tax money.

...because California has so much extra money at it’s disposal...

Seriously? You can't really believe for a second that that moron and his democrap lackeys wouldn't steal that money from other areas in heartbeat, like they have with the gas tax for road repairs do you?

And I bet he could get Bezos, Musk and other Gaia worshiping billionaires to kick in cash. And it's not like like it takes billions to design, build and racket a satellite into space. As a matter of fact I think one of those people I named already owns a company with the capability.

It's all fine and well to ridicule Moonbeam, he's a buffoon, albeit a destructive one, but the resources and capabilities of California are really quite impressive no matter how much some love to hate it.

Gore could help pay for it!

16 Sept: UK Times: Robert Watts: A convenient truth as profits soar at Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management fund
Profits at the sustainable fund manager set up by former US vice-president Al Gore and ex-Goldman Sachs banker David Blood jumped by 66% to a record £248.5m last year.
Generation Investment Management, with assets of $18.5bn (£14.2bn), backs companies that “provide goods and services consistent with a low-carbon, prosperous, equitable, healthy and safe society”.

Turnover at the London-based operation grew to £293m last year, according to its recently filed accounts, which also reveal that one of Generation’s senior staff received a £41m cut of the £193m in profits distributed to the firm’s 32 members...

Nah, Gore’s a cheap MOFO, he wouldn’t give a nickle unless he was guaranteed to get a buck back. You don’t think he actually believes what he shovels? he couldn’t actually grasp any of the science, just go back and look at his grades.

“Not without federal (read Trump’s) permission they won’t. California is a state, not a nation.”

Lots of universities and a few high schools have their satellites in space via the CubeSat program.

https://company.ingersollrand.com/news/2018/high-school-students-send-satellites-into-space—ingersoll-rand-.html

California can rent payload weight/space on anyone’s launch vehicle. Let ‘em launch a hundred satellites via SpaceX, ULA, ESA, India, Japan, Russia or China.

Lots of commercial communications satellites up there. Lots of companies selling “environmental” data, i.e. agricultural forecasts.

Gov. Moonbeam, in the interests of Diversity, get these folks to launch your Truth-Telling_ecoSatellite.

CO2 is an essential part of life on earth, it is not a dangerous pollutant

Next they'll be going after nitrogen in the atmosphere and try to reduce or eliminate it! (/sarc)

In all seriousness the left is dangerously insane.

Reminds me of the memoir of the NASA engineer (October Sky) They figured gunpowder would launch a rocket, only to be wrong and create an explosion.

I’m guessing this “CubeSat” is a federal program, right?

“I’m guessing this “CubeSat” is a federal program, right?”

http://www.cubesat.org/about/

“The CubeSat standard was created by California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and Stanford University’s Space Systems Development Lab in 1999 to facilitate access to space for university students. Since then the standard has been adopted by hundreds of organizations worldwide. CubeSat developers include not only universities and educational institutions, but also private firms and government organizations.

The CubeSat standard facilitates frequent and affordable access to space with launch opportunities available on most launch vehicles.”
