MONTCLAIR, NJ The Montclair Public School District is rolling out a new initiative this year: "all-gender restrooms" in each building.
Superintendent Kendra Johnson alerted local parents and guardians about the restroom changes as part of a "Welcome Back" letter sent at the beginning of the school year. According to Johnson, 2018-19 will be the first year that the district has at least one "all-gender" restroom in each school building.

All Gender? So, there is more than one? Just not two?
“Anti-racism.” Hopefully they use Barry Obama and some of his pals as examples of what not to do and say. Yeah, right.
Even when I was a kid going to a one room school, we had a girl’s outhouse & a boy’s outhouse.
Someone should publicly ask them if it has a sharia compliant foot sink
Gonna be a lot of horn dog boys with gender identity issues.
Does Anyone have a clue as to what this actually means?? WTF is “Restorative Justice”??
Restorative Justice Training - “In collaboration with the Montclair Education Association (MEA), we now have a Restorative Justice curriculum and a Restorative Justice educator who is leading our districtwide focus in this arena. Four Restorative Justice workshops are slated for the 2018-2019 school year. Each workshop will consist of four days of comprehensive training. From this work, we will have 100 district and community members trained to facilitate Restorative Justice.”
There’s a huge problem with not providing girls whose bodies are maturing privacy away from guys. It’s a very personal and confusing time of life already.
I would suggest new buildings should only contain restrooms designed for a single occupant. If it’s vacant, anyone can use it. Might be a little more costly but you neutralize a social justice warrior talking point.
Per Wikipedia: Restorative justice is an approach to justice in which the response to a crime is to organize a mediation between the victim and the offender, and sometimes with representatives of a wider community as well. The goal is to negotiate for a resolution to the satisfaction of all participants. This may include a restitution to be given from the offender to the victim, or to take steps to prevent the offender from causing future harm.

All 97,568 genders?
Wow. Allowing horny teenage girls and boys to closet themselves inside a bathroom stall.
What could go wrong?
Easy way to do this. Any gender with a front hole uses bathroom XX bathrooms and any gender that takes it in the back hole uses the xy bathrooms.
What ever happened to Arrest, Prosecute, Imprison or Execute?? Boy am I behind the times.
LOL. Great idea!
“but you neutralize a social justice warrior talking point.”
Solving the problem? That’s exactly what they don’t want.
It’s just like queer “marriage”
They should have made it Civil Unions for all.
Problem solved..no discrimination.
Because marriage is a religious ceremony that has nothing whatsoever to do with Government.
Raise your hand if you thought that medical marijuana was really what the marijuana advocates really wanted.
Actually, they are accomplishing a lot but it is not about solving the problem as it is Transforming America into Satan’s? image.
Just in time for midterms. You payin’ attention, NJ? Is this the kind of future you want?

I’ll field that one. Our school district introduced “Restorative Justice” last year. (It does not have the same meaning as it does in the criminal justice system.)
Old days: A disruptive student would be removed from the classroom and suspended. Shape up or ship out.
Now: A disruptive student becomes the center of a feel-good process. And trust me, the disruptive student just loves the attention.
Examples:
- A bully picks on a little kid. The bully and the little kid meet under the direction of a trained counselor. The bully gets to justify his behavior while the little kid just sits there bewildered.
- A misbehaving student disrupts a classroom. The student and the teacher meet under the direction of a trained counselor. The student gets to justify his behavior while the teacher just sits there bewildered.
I suppose some folks involved in the process have good intentions. But - bottom line - “Restorative Justice” is just an elaborate way to reduce the number of suspensions. And that’s about all it does.
