A member of the Russian punk rock protest group Pussy Riot is reportedly hospitalized and in critical condition after what those close to the band member suspect may be a poisoning.
Pyotr Verzilov is being treated in the toxicology department of Bakhrushin City Clinical Hospital in Moscow, according to Russian news outlet Meduza. Verzilov was hospitalized late Tuesday after losing his sight, speech, ability to walk and consciousness, his partner, Veronika Nikulshina, told the outlet.
Nikulshina said Verzilov started to feel unwell following a court hearing on Tuesday. The two were arrested during a day of protests in Moscow earlier this week.

What is the point of posting this trash?
Putin probably wants the Dems to take Congress to capitalize on their craziness.
Life in Russia more things change more they stay the same.
Note Chat not News
Probably got into some fentanyl or other dope. They are drama queens that wear the mantle of “protester”. They invaded a service in an orthodox church, drove the preacher off the pulpit and took the stage with a lewd and pornographic version of a “worship service”.
If this was a hit, they would simply vanish one day.
This poisoning is their way of showing us how important they are. 2011 is a long time ago, they are missing the fame.
a male pussy rioter?
next...
they play concert festivals in America these days. “looka me! I’m famous!”
I thought that The Hill——wrote about The Hill.
I’m puzzled.
.
Just looking, this is the husband of one of the Pussy Riot women. There is a controversy with in Pussy Riot that a guy cannot be their spokesman, or set the direction of their band. Apparently this cat ran onto the field during the Fifa tournament, and interrupted the game and had to be dragged off. That’s what he was on trial for.
If Putin wanted you dead, you'd be dead.
Could've just as easily been some bad smack or homemade methanol-infused bathtub vodka. There's a million ways to find yourself poisoned in Russia.
I think I'll wait for some evidence before I blame Putin for trying to murder a pop star.
Ya mean ol’ Vlad? Why ‘e were a smashing bloke!! Bought flowers for his mum!
But he poisoned you wife.
Oh, yeah, well ‘e did do that, yeah. But ‘e had to! I transgressed the unwritten law!
What law was that?
I don’t know. But if it were good enough for old Vlad, it were good enough for me!
Veronika Nikulshina is worth posting a picture of.
The rules, and all that.
Unfortunately I don’t have the means to do so.
Part of the old Soviet disinformation playbook was to spread a bunch of equally kinda-sorta plausible theories about the US, NATO — whatever thing the Politburo wanted to hide from, and never have the truth see the light of day.
The rise of social media has caused Mr. Putin and his minions to dust off the playbook. By getting people to think “agents are killing dissenters”, the FSB/GRU deter people from open dissent.
Perhaps I’m a bit in the rough here, but tracking disinformation is a good way to defeat it. We need to see how the Baltic states & the Poles fight disinformation, and adapt it to our circumstances.
Perhaps to remind us that former-KBG apparatchiks are still capable of poisoning disfavored political elements?
No, not at her exposed nipple.
At Putin.
Not only is he gawking, but look at his HANDS -- he's doing a double thumbs-up! LOL.
Is Pussy Riot am offshoot band from The El Paso Pussycats?
If you knew what the Russian on her back said, you’d really think it’s funny. :)
I don't see anyone mounting her doggie-sty....oh, you mean the *writing*.
Too bad I don't know how to scan the letters into Google translate.
Putin is no saint, to be sure, but Pussy Riot are not a sympathetic bunch.
They are radical left wing troublemakers and have gone so far as to disrupt and vandalize Church services in Russia. They are similar to antifa.
It was probably a regular drug overdose or he may have poisoned himself. Yes, Pussy Riot members are that crazy.
