He's been in the blue suit for five years.
But Henry Cavill is reportedly hanging up his Superman cape as scheduling conflicts lead Warner Bros to rule out any future appearances for the actor as the DC Extended Universe superhero.
The Hollywood Reporter write that Henry, who has played Superman in three films, can't commit to a planned cameo in Shazam! and the studio is now also reportedly putting a stop to any future appearances in the franchise.

Wonder Woman ‘84 looks good. The fish movie doesn’t even look good enough to wrap itself in.
Shazam looks like a fun movie.
It only makes sense, after all, to cast a character out of a story based in Slavic folklore as black or perhaps Polynesian.
It took Marvel about 10 movies to finally get to that fine balance they have now. You can’t expect DC to do it in one movie.
Marvel was fortunate to find a few people who could give it an over-arching theme to hold it all together.
He’s not a bad actor. Now, it’s a shame they couldn’t get a decent writer or director.
He was fine as an actor... but the stupidity at DC to try to make Superman some angst ridden anti-hero when they relaunched the brand in film was beyond stupid....
DC just can’t seem to understand, respecting the source material draws in big bucks... playing with a winning formula does not.
But yeah, make her black. Because that whole storyline that formed the basis of the most successful game in the series isn't that important or anything, right?
“you gotta ask how he lived through some of them”
Obviously, using the super powers he gained from being a level 9000 scientologist.
“Shazam looks like a fun movie.”
Agree! Looking forward to seeing ‘Chuck’ again...

Marvel respected its source material... WB refuses to.. which is why by and large, their movies are fuster clucks...
Their Animated Movies are generally far far superior to their live action/cgi ones because they respect the source material... yes they take some artistic license from time to time, but they generally are far better movies than the big budget CGI things that they are releasing.
Did they discover he was a heterosexual?
This.
Our Lord Suffolk was a secret Catholic and sympathetic to the true Queen, Catherine of Aragon.
DC tried to make Superman a bit like Batman. A tragic emotionally scarred guy. Was the world really hoping for a sad-sack Superman in a grim-dark suit? Nope. At least they struck gold with Wonder Woman. That was a great movie. Wonder Woman is not portrayed as some grim warrior but rather a determined and optimistic but somewhat naive fish out of water on a mission to save the world, even though she doesn't really know how. Nice change.
I've seen a lot of the comic book movies but I'm getting bored of them. They are mostly all the same. My two favorites were Captain America: Winter Soldier and Wonder Woman. Because the first played out like a conspiracy thriller spy movie, a serious tone but one which I really liked. And because the second was a just plain fun, well written, well acted, well made action film. Honorable mention: Lego Batman. Really, not kidding.
WIth Aquaman DC/WB finds itself once again creating a disaster by not respecting its source material.... just like they tried to make Superman some sort of angst ridden superhero, they are trying to make Aquaman some sort of angst ridden bad arse....
Now, there is no doubt women will probably line up around the block just to see the actor half naked... but sadly they once again are destroying their brand (on film anyway).
I don’t understand WB... I truly don’t. You have characters that have 50-60-70 or more years of history, and built in fandom... and you decide when you make a film about them to just ignore all of that, and just go all Poochie D with them....
According to IMDB, it’ll be Michael B Jordan.
Whoever that is...
Rumour is that he has herpes as well.
I’m a little surprised. I recall reading he is a major SJW snowflake.
Make him the next Bond ,last time they said he was too young . Superman sucks now anyway
