Lady: “ You are very fresh!”

Al: “ No, Ma’am, that’s impossible. Because, for the last hour I’ve been trying to squeeze your foot into a shoe when I really should have been easing it into the box.”

Funny episode ( as was most of them).

I’m curious if that song was “Anna (Go With Him)” by the Beatles. Several years ago, I acquired some old Beatles LP’s and while listening to them, “Anna (Go with Him)” started playing.

It was confusing because the chorus sounded familiar but I was completely unfamiliar with the song. Then, a few days later, I was listening to the song again and I suddenly remembered that episode and how much the chorus of “Anna” sounded like the song Al was humming.

Now when I hear “Anna (Go With Him), I can’t help but laugh and think of that episode. I may be wrong but I really believe that is Al’s mysterious song.

Love that show.

Married With Children was amazing...until Steve left.It went downhill after that.

My very favorite Al insults are:

"Peg,you know I don't have any insurance so you must be killing me for the sport"

Peg: "Did you miss me,Al?" Al: "With every round so far"

The one with Sam Kinison was a classic as well.

Sadly in real life Ed O’Neal is a hard-core Leftist Obama-loving shill.

The funny thing about Jefferson, was that when Al insulted Marcie, Jefferson would always laugh.

But, yes, Steve was much better.

My personal opinion, not shared by some,is that it almost always happens that a musical group or a TV series that starts out great loses steam...runs out of ideas...eventually.Two examples of groups: The Who and The Stones.Their early stuff,IMO,was far,*far* better than their later stuff.

Examples of TV series: Beverly Hillbillies and Hogan's Heroes.IMO they both ran out of ideas after a few years.

I'm inclined to think that "Married" was the same.Steve, although really good, wasn't a central character IMO.I just use his departure as a milestone of sorts.
