Discovered: Optimal magnetic fields for suppressing instabilities in tokamaks I still recall what Dr. Robert Bussard (Of "Bussard Ram Jet" fame) said about Tokomaks.
"We spent 50 years studying Tokomaks, and what we learned about them is that they are no D@mn good."

The site mispelled tomahawk as tokamaks.
Surprised they’d make this error...

As I read the descriptive solution, it resonates with my experience in how the human soul uses polarized thought fields to decrease frequency of consciousness in an inhibitory way thus decreasing the damage created by collisions caused by imbalance.
It keeps the rpms in check at lower frequencies.

This really sounds much too dangerous, much too unstable, to be a viable energy source.

Apparently, Tokamak is a Russian word.
A tokamak (Russian: Токамáк) is a device that uses a powerful magnetic field to confine a hot plasma in the shape of a torus.

They have probably considered this, but how about getting away from the thermal conversion process, heating water to produce steam to turn turbines, and use the plasma movement to induce a current via magnetic coupling. The power can be transferred via the magnetic field.
The problem might be the erratic nature of the induced current. But can be overcome.

Twenty-five years ago, I was reading articles on fusion reactors and how this would be a major source of power in... twenty-five years.
I just read another article the other day that was talking about fusion being a reality in... you guessed it... 25 years.

have successfully predicted the entire set of beneficial 3-D distortions for controlling ELMs without creating more problems. "Predicted"... so, computer models... Unfortunately, reality often has other plans. I wouldn't count on this just yet.

This is a breakthrough. Now fusion power will only be 20 years away.
