A troubling fact to me. Hard to trust him. But then again, a lot of people worked at Enron that weren't part of the problem.

I have worked at places that I now suspect were dirty.
The rank and file have no idea what’s going on in a lot of places. (Don’t know if a law firm qualifies. Could some partners not be “in on it”?)
Most of the corruption is at the very top. The actual work gets done by honest people who are lied to. This would explain why in most of the places I worked I was flabbergasted that the idiots running the place ever got those high ranking positions. There is no way they could have been promoted on merit. I can think of one woman who I suspect slept her way (or at least flirted her way) up to a top position, but couldn’t figure out how the idiot men got there.
