Northern Minnesota sees record-breaking cold temperatures Thursday morning

(KMSP) - The National Weather Service reports some record-breaking cold temperatures for Sept. 6 in northern Minnesota with both International Falls and Hibbing finding themselves waking up to a very chilly morning.
International Falls reached 28 degree Thursday, breaking the previous record of 31 degrees for Sept. 6. Hibbing fell to 29 degrees, breaking the previous record of 33.
Though not a record, Robinson, Minnesota near Ely was a chilly 25 degrees.
Summer was nice while it lasted.

International Falls is well known as the place which records the lowest temperature in the lower 48. Some days, it even beats Alaska. This might have been one of those days.
FWIW, I grew up in Fargo, D.T. We'd always talk about International Falls when we thought WE were cold.

I’ve been to Frostbite Falls once in the Summer.
Said “Hi” to Rocky and Bullwinkle, caught some Walleye and then returned to more normal weather.

It has snowed a few times this week on Pike’s Peak, very early for snow and the leaves have started turning already (started in late August in the mountains, probably from drought).

Sounds like heaven to someone in the molding South! What's the cost of living in International Falls? Many Muslims? Got a decent mall? I am so sick of Louisiana, and the sphincter of the country(New Orleans) in particular.
Don't hog winter-send it down!
