James, who hosts the show that vows to have spirited, free-flowing discussions, attended St. Vincent-St. Mary Catholic School in Akron, Ohio, as a basketball prodigy. He said upon entering school, he didnt have any desire to talk to any of his white classmates, as he was there to play basketball.
When I first went to the ninth grade in high school, I was on some Im not ----- with white people, James said. I was so institutionalized growing up in the hood, it was like, They dont -- with us, they dont want us to succeed.
So Im like, Im going to this school to play ball and thats it. I dont want nothing to do with white people, he said. That was my initial thoughts and my initial shock to white America, when I was 14 years old, for the first time in my life. It took me a little while to adjust to it.

Oppressed millionaires. I feel so bad for them.
1998 Lebron
This is a such a tragic story. I’m just , I just, I need to call my doc for a scrip, this is too depressing.
Imagine the “adjusting” the poor “white people” had to do.
YAWN
If I went to St. Vincent-St. Mary Catholic School in Akron, Ohio and then on to college, I would be bilingual by now and speak English instead of just Ebonics.
so Catholic HS’s are now “posh high schools?”
Im guessing Lebrown Stains never went to class anyway and just got a pass on everything.
It’s like this LeBronny. If you weren’t such a racist piglet, you’d buy every “white person” in Cleveland a new iPhone.
btw- me thinks whitey paid the tuition for James to attend this “posh” Catholic HS...
I dont have to - they forcibly desegregated my rural school with buses in inner city youts who didnt care about learning and caused the school to implement draconian discipline measures to keep things safe and still was involved in 2 race riots.
Nobody else in this country has ever had to adapt or adjust to any situation, no trials, no prejudging, no difficulties whatsoever. The red carpet just rolls out because we’re white. Do I really need to post a sarcasm tag with this?
Trained to be a racist from childhood.
Just stay on the first floor of your home. This way, even if you jump out of a window, your will have a better chance of survival.
And I've never looked back.I'm saddened, however,by the thought of all the ads for cars, insurance, jewelry and cruises I've missed.
Poor baby. Felt like he was different and didn’t blend in. He needs a little hug from mommy methinks.
What a doof! So many kids feel that way growing up. The could be too skinny, too shy, too fat, too short, too tall, too smart, not smart enough, red hair, black hair, fair skin, ruddy skin, etc. etc. Being black, brown, or Asian are just a few of many ways to feel different growing up.
What I noticed is if someone act like they don’t fit in then they don’t. If they act like they belong and fit in then they do. Yes, it takes some effort and there’s a learning curve, but anyone can do it.
Methinks a good summary was that he was great at b-ball and sucked raw eggs at everything else. Ya know, that white guy stuff.
At school, we called that the “dumb jock syndrome”.
(Please note, a university best friend was a linebacker and had a better STEM GPA than I did, so it’s not a universal truth by any means.)
:-)
Poor LeDouche..well he has NO issue living among the rich white folks now..considering he makes over 150 for 4 years all or putting a ball into a hoop.
