I don’t like it, unless there’s a missing person who might be there or a dangerous criminal on the loose. If the concern is safe cars and safe walks, or whatever, handing out an informational pamphlet and offering drop in talks about park safety would be just fine.

Tell them no.
They may not search your vehicle.
Do not take any sort of "report" they try to give you.
Do keep track of the time they spend doing this.
Do bring it to the community's attention that they are doing this on a weekend where they are getting double time.
