Cohen: Trump told me to pay off women to influence the election
President Trumps personal fixer Michael Cohen admitted in court Tuesday that he paid two women hush money at direction of the candidate, a clear reference to Trump to influence the 2016 presidential election.
Trumps name was not uttered but the implication was clear as Cohen admitted he cut a $150,000 check in 2016 to protect the candidate.
On or about summer 2016, in coordination and with and at the behest of the candidate, I and the CEO of a media company worked together to keep an individual with information that would be harmful to the candidate from publicly disclosing this information
under which she received compensation of $150,000, Cohen said in Manhattan federal court.

Like I said earlier, there is NOTHING they can charge Trump with, that’s why they didn’t demand Cohen cooperate. A federal prosecutor tried and failed to get John Edwards for the same thing and simply couldn’t prove it was campaign money at all. The whole reason Muelhead is doing this is because a friendly democrat candidate can now say Trump “influenced the election,” which is ridiculous on its face because EVERYTHING a campaign does is to influence an election. They want people to vote for them? Well, except for maybe Hillary when she ignored Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Ohio but even that could be “influencing an election” because it helped the other side win!
Didn’t Bill Clinton also pay off some of his “bimbos”?
Big deal. I couldn’t care less how many women were paid off. Look how many Slick Willie paid off with busted lips and he got zilch, nada, nothing. Many suspect Hussein paid off his male partners with grizzly murders. Why is a few bucks worse than that?
I don't read the site .
Tonight my kid showed Drudge page to me .
My kids now state Drudge hates the President .
And didn’t Cohen say earlier that Trump didn’t know about the payment to Stormy Daniels?
And yet, on Fox News today, it was being reported that these payments were made with campaign money, which they said would be a serious violation of the law by the President.
If these payments were made with campaign money, I don’t believe for one minute that President Trump authorized Cohen to do it.
Remember, Robert Mueller handed over this case with Michael Cohen to the U.S. attorneys in the Southern District of NY, so Cohen made a plea deal with them, not the special counsel.
Apparently, Mueller didn’t get anything on Trump from Cohen or he wouldn’t have passed off his case.
Trump was paying off a women who hadn’t said a word until he was running for President. They were blackmailing him!
Good point
“As long as they cant prove campaign funds were used, its not illegal.”
If the money was used with the intent of influencing the election it doesn’t matter if it came from the campaign.
Subjective Test. So that is what Cohen brings.
Totally agree, and I am sick of this crap. Sessions is a piece of Sh##, a scumbag of the lowest order who tricked us all
“WOW you mean so a candidate would not want some one night stand with a whore to come out during an election”
How about “allegation of a one night stand ...”?
Who.cares.
100%
Funny - nobody complained about “influencing the election” when the Clintons paid off and/or threatened dozens of women in 1992 and 1996. And nobody is complaining about that now.
Hillary was paying FusionGPS to fabricate lies to influence an election. I see parallel issues afoot.
Bonus is all of the money they (Hill/Bill) paid the Energizer to stay quiet which was done to influence the very same election. Heck, Im not even certain that Cohen isnt referring to cNdidate Hillary here.
If the Dems push this it will allllll come out.
“The silence of the Pubbie Reps/”leadership”, on the absurdity of all of this, is deafening. “
Yes it is and sadly predictable.
In the meanwhile, Hillary Clinton committed REAL crimes.....
