The “bars” looked pretty old-fashioned anyway. Zoos haven’t used cages in decades.

Zoos havent used cages in decades. Irrelevant. The animals weren't being depicted in a zoo, they were being depicted aboard a circus train. Barnum wasn't a zookeeper ...

You get them BECAUSE they are old-fashioned. You buy the over-priced box with the string BECAUSE it was what your mom got you as a kid. Otherwise, just buy the bag. The same apply to a small universe of items (e.g. Cracker Jack, heavy glass Coca-Cola bottles come to mind immediately, but there are others).
