ThaT’S RACIST!........................
Fans in Phillie are ecstatic. First the Pats and now MJ........ Oh, the actual Eagles.
I don’t think Greatest Hits compilations should count. The Beatles, Elvis, Elton John, etc. all have numerous Greatest Hits albums splitting up the sales. When I think of best selling albums, I think Thriller, Saturday Night Fever, Frampton Comes Alive, Led Zeppelin IV, and even Hotel California.
even more than ‘Dark Side of the Moon’?
The music buying public today is only exposed to one hit wonders and short lived superstars with a few hits before they fade. They don’t get exposed to artists that can turn out hit after hit.
The Eagles, like many superstars of their day, are now on the oldies but goodies playlists—but it is proof that their music has lasting power.
How the hell could Bostons first album not be the greatest seller of all time?
Carole King’s Tapestry Album was number one for years.
That one album set her up for life.
She used to write songs with Neil Sedaka.
Based on what I used to hear in the tabloids, if Neil were active today, I suspect there would be quite a few #MeToo moments from past co-workers and proteges.

Straight Outta Compton should be #1.
(Runs and hides)
Shocking
I recently saw the documentary “Breaking the Band” I believe it was called. How performers rise, then fall. The Eagles were one of the 8 or so episodes and the GH Album was mentioned.
Highly recommended for music buffs. The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen, The Beach Boys, even Sonny & Cher
Might be on REELZ, not sure what channel. Reruns I’m sure will be upcoming
Lefty California Druggies, but so far as I know they were not molesting children
Good
I have 2000 rock songs on my ipod and only 1 of them is by the Eagles. Hotel California. Does it count when they were the Stone Poneys, backing up Linda Ronstadt?
My Mom loved The Eagles. After my Dad got too old to drive, I’d drive them down to Savannah to visit her brother’s grave (he was a pastor in Savannah Beach and Statesboro) or we’d make trips down to Norfolk to see my brother. We’d pop a few Eagles CDs in the player along the way.
Trying to Get to You--The Eagles' version
Trying to Get to You--Elvis Presley's version
Frey was the Eagles. Henley just pisses me off!
My test case for balancing my Dynaudio speakers is “Hotel California”
