Just figured you'd like the clip.
The show was remarkably honest about some of that stuff. Tony saying, "Yeah, I can see that"---beautiful!
Legit.
There are amazing, beautiful, safe, affluent ates in Chicago where many people wish they could afford to live. Places like Stockton and Modesto have no redeeming value in the entire city. There are a few ipscale neighborhoods less impacted by crime but overall, Modesto and Stockton are just cesspools. Chicago has some stunning areas to live. You cant write off the entire city just because south Chicago is a war zone.
The northern third of Chicago has many beautiful neighborhoods, and the central third has its share, especially near Lake Michigan. All that murder and violence is confined to a few areas where opposing armies of black gangs are fighting a war.
Note the tire barricade, slowing vehicular access to the drug den down at the end.
Reno has high crime and a high poverty rate.
You don’t hear much about that......
No, I can tell. I live in southern NJ about 45 minutes from that area. Been thorough it before on my way out to New Hope, PA. Believe it or not that squat looking brick building in the background is a public housing development. Can you also believe Walt Whitman was born in this city? This is the triumph of liberalism. Or it’s crowning failure.
No you don’t. As usual, evil steals all the headlines.
“Man, you’re like school on Saturday...no class.”
That’s one of my all time fave graphics.
Says it all, about socialism/demonrat “leadership”, doesn’t it? The road to ruin.
"Number two" is kinda what I usually say regarding Detroit...
The common denominator appears to be cities run by extremely corrupt Rats. I agree with another FReeper, how can Chicago NOT be on this list?
I went to work in Camden in 88. Had to go to pipefitters union hall. They made everyone stay outside until your name came up for dispatch. It was said at the time the union hall had been fire bombed 3 times...
That’s the first place I ever witnessed falsfying welding test at a nuke plant. My buddy and I were told we didn’t pass pur welding test to go to work on Salem 1&2. When I called BS, the General Foreman came up to me and explained that they had given our successful tests to 2 other guys and in return do us a solid back at the Hall.
Back at the Hall, the business manager treated us like local hands, we were travelers from Pasco, and sent us out to new construction at the Mobile refinery. 4 months later when I quit to go home, the business manager tried to get me to stay and offered me the General Foreman job out on Peasby Point coal burner. Said I was welcome back anytime
There is not- and can never be- a nice, progressive city whose majority citizens are a, poor, criminal, minority underclass dependent on the US government to survive.Demographics explains all.
Bakersfield, CA isn’t there?
Bogus list is bogus.
Gary’s was more due to the collapse of the steel industry. With the recent announcement that U.S. Steel is expanding or revitalizing its plant there, Gary could yet experience a renaissance.
It’s more than 3/5ths abandoned. Blocks that used to have homes are overgrown fields. The downtown strip is boarded up. Mobile might’ve ordinarily annexed it (although it is still a separate city), but they wouldn’t want the grief and expense to take it over.
It’s a shame.
