I love the look of a man in jacket, tie, and workboots!
Particularly if he wears one of those Duluth Trading Post jackets!
Either way, no matter which way you slice it they're still work boots. I don't often see shirts and ties and Calvin Klein shoes (what I am now) pulled up to the bar next to sunburnt necks, carpenter pants and work boots (what I used to be). If this guy wants to cater to the former crowd at the expense of the latter, so be it. I guess the stuffed shirts go for more expensive stuff but can't beat the blue collar guys in sheer volume of cheap piss. Even though many tradesmen could buy the lunch of salarymen, old habits die hard.
One of my unforgettable eperiences happened when I was in Paris visiting my daughter who spent a year in ParisV at la Sorbonne. It was around 9 pm on our way home on the Metro.
There sitting across the aisle was a drop-dead gorgeous young woman, obviously a model from the fashion distinct around La Madeleine. I whispered to my daughter in English, when I saw what the model was wearing, then smiled at the model and she smiled back.
She was impeccably dressed, but wearing ... Combat boots.
Had to have been 1993.
