As much as I appreciate the collective creativeness and experience of everyone posting on this Q thread I fear we are sliding into similar problems once seen about May. At that time recipes, solutions to urinary problems, random comments, fights etc. made the thread so long it was unnecessarily time consuming. That problem was temporarily solved and things seemed to settle down to business.
I know we all feel familial and need to encourage and amuse each other especially when Q is absent for long periods of time. However, there have been some interesting Q drops in the last few days and still discussions have been sliding to driving on ice and related topics, fighting (again), lovely prose picture painting enjoyed and performed by several, etc. I am sure I have contributed to some slides so I am trying to be aware and stay on topic because once again, the thread is so long it is difficult to keep up. You all are great and I enjoy reading because I don’t contribute the type of research you do. But I personally would get to read the relevant stuff with less fluff AND have a productive life otherwise.
And who cares what the obvious trolls think? It is not normal that they be so invested to setting the rest of us straight on Q. As others have said, don’t feed the (obvious) trolls.
