Todays New York Post will come with a Supreme promotional cover wrap. After the rumors circulated over the weekend, Supreme confirmed the collab this morning, releasing a video showing the co-branded paper fresh off the printing press.
The wrap features the papers signature letterhead, as well as a red Supreme box logo on white background. With the Supreme FW18 lookbook rumored to drop today, it would seem the New York Post advertisement will mark the start of the new season.
As with all things Supreme, people are already trying to resell copies of the New York Post on Twitter and eBay. Prices range from $7 to around $20 for the entire newspaper, including the coveted promotional Supreme wrap.
This move is surprising in more ways than one. The New York Post is a conservative-leaning paper that has been supportive of President Donald Trump, while Supreme has taken more liberal political positions in the past, notably donating a portion of proceeds from T-shirt sales to help families affected by the Trump administrations anti-immigration policies.
Has it sold yet for $25?
Its the NYP Burrito.
I think you can use it to housebreak your pet rock...
I don't care what his/her motives are. But if there truly are clowns out there that think so highly of this "trendy" fashion company, "Supreme", that they will shell out $20 bucks for a $1 newspaper, and some of us can exploit their idiotcy, what's wrong with that?
What exactly is the product.
Is it a wrap for the newspaper?
“Todays New York Post will come with a Supreme promotional cover wrap. After the rumors circulated over the weekend...”
Really? That’s all they have to talk about??
Here’s a page of eBay ads for the special edition newspaper with wrap. Seems like some are selling just the wrap alone. Others, the entire paper for roughly 3x the amount, thus the $7-20 asking prices.

This appears to me to be a publicity stunt by Supreme (whatever that is).
The person who wrote the article is likely a paid shill to hype the product.
Who is the market for this anyway? How MANY people ARE willing to spend $20 for a $1 product?
If you believe you can make some money off this I have no problem with that but I believe this is little more than PR hype without much of a market.
Good luck making a few bucks if you can. Just don't over invest because I suspect this will be short lived and with a limited market you may be left holding the bag.
I could be wrong about everything since I don't know the market for this product. Maybe it's huge. I have no idea.
I supremely don’t care.

Maybe 500 buyers will pay $5+ for the paper in the original wrap. Probably 5,000 will be offered for sale. And likely only 300 will buy from a stranger.
Convince a buddy online that you’ve got a gold mine and unload those papers today.
I have no idea what Supreme is.
You very well may be spot on on all of that. However, my total investment stands at $2. A third paper was given to me by a NY Post delivery truck driver who confirmed that people were buying up the papers like mad, at least there in Queens NY. Later saw lots still in Manhattan, but one newsstand guy said several people bought a bunch of papers. Truck driver said he was advised to be careful when dropping off his bundles at newsstands. To make sure they were secure. In any case, I'm sure there will be some interesting followups to this story, in terms of BS vs reality. :)
Not meaningless if you live in New York City.
Remember that old cover of the New Yorker showing everything east of the Hudson River as a vast wasteland, as if the Big Apple was the center of the universe? Apparently New Yorkers still look at themselves the same way.
If you know the market and you believe you can make money from it do it.
I didn't either, and still don't really care, outside of their making these $1 newspapers sell for ~$20.
Just looked them up and found this...
Supreme is an American skateboarding shop and clothing brand[6][7] established in New York City in April 1994.[8] The brand caters to the skateboarding, hip hop, and rock cultures, as well as to the youth culture in general. The brand produces clothes and accessories and also manufactures skateboards. Its shoes, clothing, and accessories are sold extensively in the secondary market.--Wikipedia
Looks like the majority are selling for $5-$10, eBay takes 20%, paypal takes 5%, and many of those sellers are going to discover that you can't mail a newspaper with media mail rates.
And I'll betcha that 20% or more of those sales either aren't paid for or get reversed.
Best of luck in your venture, though I wouldn't be planning on going out and blowing a tank of gas buying papers.
That's not how I look at. I just figured there were a few hundred freepers in the NYC area, and that some of them could possibly benefit from this. I posted it under Local News and Chat, not Front Page or Breaking.
