This just figures doesn’t it? Incompetent Republicans. The state loves Trump and this guy hasn’t raised any money.

$900,000? There were individual bundlers who raised more than that by themselves for Cruz in 2016. Pathetic. I raised over $40,000 for the late Fred Thompson in 2008 and over $18,000 for Cruz in 2016 with bad health. I’m no professional fundraiser and I’ve barely ever been inside of a country club.

Well, Manchin was the liberals go-to guy to sell gun control to conservative states. He tried to soften the face of gun control legislation.

If the republican opponent is not doing well, he has not done a good job of projecting Manchin as Chuck Schumer's boy.

West Virginia is coal country. Manchin helping the democrats to win the senate majority is bad for coal miners. Keep telling the voters that electing Manchin is helping the democrats win majority, which is bad for the coal mining industry. We all saw what happened the last time the democrats had majority. If the republican cannot hammer this message, then I don't know.

Manchin is toast. Those West Virginia people are much smarter than that, Wait until Trump unleashes living hell on that bastard.

It would be a huge upset if Manchin were to lose. I don't see it happening. I think President Trump should have put pressure on Manchin to switch parties. Maybe after this election.

President Trump is in a tough position. He needs Manchin's support now. And then if Manchin wins, President Trump will still need his support. The chances of Manchin losing are slim. Pragmatically President Trump has to walk a fine line. The crux of that matter is that Manchin is more conservative and suppotive of the President than almost every other "D" in the Senate, and half of the "R"s for that matter.

The GOP always runs their ads late in the campaign.

It’d be easier and cheaper to convert him to Republican.

Joe’s ace in the hole is healthcare: Obamacare’a coverage of pre-existing conditions (except smoking).
McCain saved Manchin.

In 2012 - Romney got 62.3% of the vote in West Virginia.

In 2012 - Joe Manchin got 60.6%.

No, so far the GOP is once again tone deaf in its messenging... would be my guess. Just like PA18 and OH12.

If the GOP can’t win the WV senate seat this fall, they have zero shot at holding the house.

The D to his credit realized the wind direction long ago and has mostly jump on board with TRUMP. Of course once re-elected and not having to face voters for 6 years I wouldn’t count on that continuing.

The GOP needs to wake up and learn from 2016... messaging that wins you in the Deep South isn’t going to win you in the upper Midwest...

With all that said, the idea that the D is going to win by double digits, come November is virtually impossible. R should win handily, but that was try in PA18 and oh12 as well...

Of the vulnerable D’s. Joe is probably the highest chance of surviving because he was smart enough to jump on board with tRump early

Pathetic.

The only ad needed is a replay of this scene from the SOTU. Manchin wanted to stand and applaud but he felt Schumer’s tentacles clawing him back into his chair.

The tagline would be, Manchin isn’t your Senator, he represents Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. It’s time WV had a Senator who represents our values, not New York and California values.
