Abortion is about women’s bodies, according to one actress. Not unborn babies’ bodies.
On August 7, Out magazine interviewed Golden Globe award-winning actress Kathleen Turner. The published piece came just hours after her Vulture interview where she spoke about, among other things, Hollywood and President Trump’s handshake. But this time she spoke about Vice President Mike Pence – and abortion.
In the middle of the piece, writer Mickey Rapkin stressed that Turner had partnered with Planned Parenthood for more than 25 years as the Chair of the Board of Advocates. She began volunteering for the nation’s largest abortion provider at the age of 19.
That led her to comment on what Rapkin called “Pence’s promise to outlaw abortion.” Rapkin didn’t elaborate on the promise, but he may have been referring to when Pence suggested in February that “we can once again, in our time, restore the sanctity of life to the center of American law.”
Turner shook her head in response to Pence.
“The disregard for women’s lives is extraordinary to me,” she told Rapkin. “What gives a man the right to say what a woman can do with her body?”
The problem is, it’s not about women’s bodies for the pro-life movment. The argument is about the unborn baby’s body.
Turner has spoken about abortion before, such as in 2015 when she called abortion barriers “fundamentally wrong.”
Why is it unreasonable to expect the same from women?
I say do not take the bait. Democrats would love nothing better than make the election about abortion.
She once was someone. Then she got old.....
I never liked her when she supposedly was “someone”. That put on Talullah Bankhead rendition of hers made me wanna puke!
Seriously, it’s hard to find a formerly hot actress who has gained so much weight and aged so badly. Coupled with her baritone/base voice, she’s both ridiculous and repulsive. Perfect defender of the bloody butchers at Planned Parenthood.
That was the same actress in Body Heat? WOW she has gone downhill. She should at least discover botox if she does not workout.
It is very, very likely many more women are dead due to “legal” abortion than before it was “legal”. And then you must consider all the women, as well as men, that are simply not here. They were murdered.
Now turned lesbian? I never knew that.
She’s essentially saying, “It’s OK to dismember and kill a baby, but, you cannot tell a woman, ‘NO’.”.
Um, she needs her star removed from the walk of fame because she portrayed a stereotypical transvestite/transgender for LAUGHS on that racist white show Friends!!!
Neither did I, but I do know that “OUT” is a magazine for queers, so out of curiosity, I looked Turner up and found out a whole lot about her: she’s an alcoholic, was married, divorced, has 1 child, and turned lesbian a while back.
As if the 113,000 daily kills is not enough for butcher’s of the innocent.

Premature arthritis hit her in her early 30s. She seems one of those people prone to extra weight to start, but arthritis at such a young age made it worse. Having money to cover for self-medication didn’t help.
Bad luck indeed, despite the fact that she’s a Hollywood ignoramus.
I wonder if she was ever “happy”; she certainly doesn’t sound as though she ever was.
I don’t know but it sure seems to me these women pushing abortion on us all sound very angry to me.
