IHad a chance to pick up a USA Today after not seeing one for 10 years.
WOW.
I'll leave aside the leftist advocacy. Let me only address the materials and printing. It has become very small, dimensionally, VERY thin (4 pages per section), and largely used only two-color printing.
It looks much less professional and newspaper-like than the local Atlanta UberLeft entertainment- and events-newspaper called Creative Loafing.
I cannot see these guys finishing out the year. Discuss.
Many years ago, I dated a guy for 4 yrs, who is a USA Today reporter. He was Extremely liberal 30 yrs ago!
Shame on you!
Donna E. Shalala was president of the Clinton Foundation. She previously served as president of the University of Miami, as Secretary of Health and Human Services for Bill Clinton, and as a member of the board of directors of Gannett, which owns USA TODAY.
I remember the buzz when it came out in ‘82 - a national newspaper, the unique TV set-looking newspaper box, the short articles, etc.
I used to read it back in the 80’s. It was pretty much non-biased news - short and to the point. If you wanted more info, you had to look elsewhere.
I haven’t read it in a long time. I’ll have to pick up and copy and see if it’s become as bad as other as saying.
The adult version of the Weekly Reader.
“Shame on you” .... He was an LA Times reporter at the time....I was young! And I learned a lesson about liberal soy boys!
I'd read the rag. If all of its experts were overly negative, then I'd buy. If the same experts were overly exuberant, I'd break my leg getting to the computer to sell.
So, in a nutshell, whatever they recommended, I did the opposite. Worked pretty well.
I buy newspapers for their intrinsic value like when I have a painting project and I have to mask off an area, or house training a puppy or for starting fires. Actually reading one? LOL no way.
Leaving the hotel to grab dinner, I snatched up the last copy of today’s edition. What a snarky wretched mess of liberal literary flatulan waste. If you can avoid being personally offended, it’s actually quite comical.
Funny!
Yes, they have become much more of a fake news rag in recent years. Even the headlines indicate a leftist view almost every time. They deserve to fail.
