Rotten Tomatoes gives it a "0%" rating from critics. They also give very low ratings to movies life "Facing the Giants". So this type of rating was actually encouraging. The Left must really dislike it (usually they at least give 10% to 15% to make it seem somewhat fair, but they couldn't even do that this time.
The movie runs nearly two hours. It is not only informative, but entertaining as well, and edited well and easy to follow. There is a mix of interviews with real people, including Richard Spencer (who is more of a leftist than a conservative), and re-enactments that are well done as well. The theater I went to was a matinee showing, and they assigned a luxury theater with reclining seats. It's one of those theaters now with espresso and craft beer. I had an Americano and Kit Kat, wife had the unbuttered popcorn (snacks were $14). Tickets were $9.50 each.
4/4 Stars.
Was anyone outside the theater trying to deny you your right to see the movie. I mean, blocking your way into the theater?
Moderator, I apologize. “Death of a Nation”, and there were a couple other misspells. Please correct for me at least the tile. Thanks.
No leftists. Dinesh himself in a talk two days ago at Young America’s Foundation asked if we want to help, to please see it this opening weekend as that determines how widely it is circulated. Audience was mostly white, some younger people, one black man, one Asian couple.
Posting to yourself won’t fix it.

I wish the guy good luck with this flick.
It’s one of those “Preaching tot he choir” movies - the conservatives already know the message and the left will never change their mind.
I saw it on Friday. Incredible work. A must see and another DSouza masterpiece. #WINNING
Rush interviewed Dinesh earlier this week. He is SO passionate and SO informed!
I’ll make sure I see this at home - I live in No-Man’s Land and don’t have a local theater that would even consider playing this.
IMBD gives it 82% rating. :)

Watch carefully! In one of the first scenes when they’re depicting Slavery - there’s a shot of Oprah playing her part in ‘The Color Purple.’ Oh, the irony! I LOVE IT!
My husband saw it this afternoon. We were surprised it was showing in all three theater complexes in our city.
He said it was, like all D’zousa’s movies, excellent. Only a handful in the audience. He especially enjoyed the clips of the broadcasters on election day when they were realizing Hillary wasn’t going to win.
Sr. Citizen ticket :) $8.50
It’s Dinesh DiSouza’s latest - it didn’t get a negative rating from these “critics” only because the numbers don’t go that low.....
I saw it right there in downtown San Francisco! No protesters even! The content was good but unfortunately the quality of the presentation was I thought not good enough to persuade anyone not already converted. But good for the “choir” nonetheless.

Rotten Tomatoes blurb:
“Not since 1860 have the Democrats so fanatically refused to accept the result of a free election. That year, their target was Lincoln. They smeared him. They went to war to defeat him. In the end, they assassinated him. Now the target of the Democrats is President Trump and his supporters. The Left calls them racists, white supremacists and fascists.
“These charges are used to justify driving Trump from office and discrediting the right “by any means necessary.” But which is the party of the slave plantation? Which is the party that invented white supremacy? Which is the party that praised fascist dictators and shaped their genocidal policies and was in turn praised by them?
“Moreover, which is the party of racism today? Is fascism now institutionally embodied on the right or on the left? Through stunning historical recreations and a searching examination of fascism and white supremacy, Death of a Nation cuts through progressive big lies to expose hidden history and explosive truths. Lincoln united his party and saved America from the Democrats for the first time. Can Trump-and we-come together and save America for the second time?”
I did not know the moderator could help you fix your tile. Is he a handyman?
I was not careful and misspelled the title before posting. He did help me in this case, so I think he was very “handy”.
Thank you Moderator.
I’m just coming from having watched the movie. Some kids were waiting to go in with dustpans. I heard them say, “The only thing worse than this movie .....” I didn’t especially care to hear his review, but then I stopped when someone said, “OK, Hillary sometimes lies....” Then there was some lesser-of-2-evils discourse.
We went last night ! Thought it was excellent ~ took our 12-year-old daughter ~ more history than a year of Skrool ... Homeschoolers need to head over asap
I just sat at the theatre....
Hope it is good!
Wearing my Qanon shirt
“Its one of those Preaching to the choir movies.
I disagree, sorta. It’s more like “Teaching the choir.” Went to see it today with my local Republicans Women’s Club. Most of them didn’t know alot of this and these ladies are very active in politics.
Great flix.
He talked about the Nazis using the rats KKK guidelines to justifies their mass extermination of the Jews. How FDR admired Hitler and Mussolini. And how the Nazi Platform could be Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. LOL!
He reviewed the history of the progressives that started in the 1830
He did talk about how Lincoln was anti-progressive and this was his basis for being anti slavery. The quote he used to describe Lincoln’s view of the progressives You work and toil and earn bread, and Ill eat it.
Full quote
That is the real issue. That is the issue that will continue in this country when these poor tongues of Judge Douglas and myself shall be silent. It is the eternal struggle between these two principles right and wrong throughout the world. They are the two principles that have stood face to face from the beginning of time, and will ever continue to struggle. The one is the common right of humanity and the other the divine right of kings. It is the same principle in whatever shape it develops itself. It is the same spirit that says, You work and toil and earn bread, and Ill eat it. No matter in what shape it comes, whether from the mouth of a king who seeks to bestride the people of his own nation and live by the fruit of their labor, or from one race of men as an apology for enslaving another race, it is the same tyrannical principle.
October 15, 1858 Debate at Alton, Illinois
I always thought the progressive mind set started here in the 1930s but he presents an argument it started 100 years before. If you think about it has been around since the dawn of man.
I saw Death of a Nation yesterday.
I liked it, but perhaps not quite as well as Dinesh D’Sousa’s last film, Hillary’s America.
Part of this is that President Trump is in office. We are winning. So, the urgency is not quite as high.
I thought the film was aimed at people in the center, who have been taught big lies all their life. Perhaps the most important lesson was how the left embraced Hitler and Mussolini as “Men of the Left”, until after Hitler attacked the Soviet Union. FDR lauded by Mussolini and Hitler, at different times.
The problem, as noted, is to get open minded people to see the movie.
I wish Dinesh all success.
For its type, the movie was reasonably well done. If this movie could be shown in black churches around the nation, it could make a serious difference.
