I remember Steve Allen well. My high school friends and I just loved his sense of humor. That “shmock” bit was one of my favorites. As a matter of fact, I have a brother-in-law who makes reference to it still on occasion. Allen always struck me as a very intelligent, talented, and decent man.

I agree about the intelligent, talented, and decent description. I am able to report that SO FAR I have found errors (who doesn’t have them) but nothing that makes me go “OH STEVERINO, SAY IT AIN’T SO!”

I have not studied yet all the material I’ve gathered, and I whiled I’ve glanced through it, I do not think I’ve found anything DREADFULLY against him.
