An Oregon man was arrested Thursday night after getting caught on video earlier this week harassing a bison in Yellowstone National Park, officials announced.
Raymond Reinke, 55, who was journeying across multiple U.S. parks throughout the week, was taken into custody by Glacier National Park officials, a news release from Yellowstone officials said.
We appreciate the collaboration of our fellow rangers in Glacier and Grand Teton national parks on this arrest. Harassing wildlife is illegal in any national park, Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Dan Wenk said.
Since late July, Reinke was arrested multiple times, officials noted in the release. On July 28, law enforcement rangers at Grand Teton National Park took Reinke into custody for a drunk and disorderly conduct incident, after which he was booked in jail overnight.

He was lucky to land in the tree.
With high wire, the audience hopes the aerialist makes it safely to the other end.
In a bullfight, bulls are killed and participants injured; the audience wants and expects both. BTW, with Spain inviting hostile African Muslims to come invade it, I have no desire to go there.
Meanwhile, bison aren’t house pets. They are a source of steak.
I came face to face with one while hiking in Yellowstone. It is the only time I have ever been worried about an animal encounter. The size is damn intimidating. I never was concerned with the bears I have encountered but a bull Bison is something else.
Yup. My buddy was lucky for sure. Had he gone down the bison would have probably put his head and horns on him and kind of crushed him into the dirt. He said the whole thing lasted like two hours until he could side step slowly away and back to the parking lot. Choppered him to the hospital.
Your friend is lucky indeed. Bison certainly have a right to live on the Earth God created for them and for all of us to live on. It’s just that they’re so damn huge and they travel in large herds, need lots of space and the fact that other then by man, they’re not really preyed upon. Wolves, unless they’re very hungry, or have come upon a sick or injured bison that’s become separated form the heard or a carcass tend to stay away from them. They’re just too much trouble to bring down. So since predation is not something they’re used to naturally they will perceive anything that gets too close as either a threat or some creature that is just too stupid to breathe and needs to be ended. In my opinion the animal showed a tremendous amount of restraint and more common sense then the human. It was clearly saying’ “Really? Really dude, do you really want to do this?’’
I'd insist on the reading of the actual text of the law that sez ya can't "taunt" bison. I've experienced worse road rage than that twice in the past three days. Thanks ETL. Nice graphics.
