An Oregon man was arrested Thursday night after getting caught on video earlier this week harassing a bison in Yellowstone National Park, officials announced.
Raymond Reinke, 55, who was journeying across multiple U.S. parks throughout the week, was taken into custody by Glacier National Park officials, a news release from Yellowstone officials said.
We appreciate the collaboration of our fellow rangers in Glacier and Grand Teton national parks on this arrest. Harassing wildlife is illegal in any national park, Yellowstone National Park Superintendent Dan Wenk said.
Since late July, Reinke was arrested multiple times, officials noted in the release. On July 28, law enforcement rangers at Grand Teton National Park took Reinke into custody for a drunk and disorderly conduct incident, after which he was booked in jail overnight.

additional charges tacked on for those shorts
What a dumb thing to do.
Good for those punks, sticking knives in and tormenting the animals prior to killing them before a cheering crowd of sick heartless a-holes.
Fortunately no harm came to the kids. Just hoped they learned a lesson, one they apparently didn't learn prior from their stupid parents, or whoever those dumb adults were standing by as they moved ridiculously close.
You don’t tug on Superman’s cape, you don’t...
I have witnessed this first hand at Yellowstone, along with Darwin candidates jumping off the boardwalk and walking across thin crust to get closer to a geyser pool.
The park has warning signs everywhere in multiple languages and for good reason.
Wow, that’s pretty sad.
Yeah, the purpose of sticking banderillas in is to weaken the bull’s shoulder muscles so it can’t toss the toreador the way the bison did.
Never understood the appeal of public bullslaughter to the Spanish character. Of course, the savagery of the Spanish Civil War made even the Nazis and Soviets blanche in horror.
Superman, with that red cape, would be a formidable madator. :)
There will always be the 1%.
You cant fix stupid.
It’s the same basic mentality of the Romans and the Coloseum, but in modern times.
I’ve done things I’m not proud of, but at least harassing a bison is not one of them.
Same here, still to this day.
The dude’s luck is only temporary. He is constantly walking around with poor judgement; it is only a matter of time.....
In the 60s, Bullfighting from Mexico was a regular Friday prime-time show on the NYC “educational” channel, WNDT (which later became PBS channel WNET)
The host/commentator was Sidney Franklin, “The Bullfighter From Brooklyn”. They would show films from the latest season in Tijuana and Mexico City and Franklin would explain all the nuances.
That moron deserved to be arrested
Ridiculous. This guy will ultimately fall prey to Darwin’s Law and get punishment enough for his stupidity. The NPS needs to just have him work one week at the roundup at Ft. Sill for the bison as punishment. The bison there are easy going and easy to be around until you try to work with them.
