It's not just about what's in the image, but what isn't. Although the first image from next years Terminator revival reveals nothing new about the plot of the movie, it does suggest that the franchise might have rediscovered its heart after far too many years in the wilderness. How did it manage that? Well, just look at whats in the image or, really, what isnt.
The image, tweeted from the official Terminator account this morning, shows (left to right) Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis and the returning Linda Hamilton looking ready for battle as they approach the viewer, battered and bruised, with flaming and smoking wreckage in the background. Its been lauded for the first opportunity to see Hamiltons Sarah Connor since 1991s Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but as welcome as that is, theres another, less obvious, reason to get excited about the movie because of this image.
There are no men in the photo.

Don’t tell me: The new movie will be about children put in cages by the evil Terminator, and will show the evil Terminator taking kids from parents as they wail and cry
Terminator the Social Justice Warrior , BABY ,kiss kiss

After the novelty wears off of replacing previous actors with a different race/sex, you still need to create 90 minutes of content. Hollywood tends to forget that part.
Seriously? The one in the middle looks like a modern leaner version of a "It's Pat". I guess androgynous is the new look, but I 'll take a pass, like Star Wars, Terminator has become a series of bad, bad stories, bad acting and a bad investment of entertainment dollars.
OR. The real reason I will not pay to see the movie.
Linda Hamilton’s character arc was the best thing about T1 and T2, and was so influential it changed how women were portrayed in action movies from then on. But I can’t trust modern movies to not screw this up and make it a feminist statement movie, because neither T1 nor T2 were “feminist” movies.
Linda...better than mortal grandpas deserve.
