After the novelty wears off of replacing previous actors with a different race/sex, you still need to create 90 minutes of content. Hollywood tends to forget that part.

Linda Hamilton’s character arc was the best thing about T1 and T2, and was so influential it changed how women were portrayed in action movies from then on. But I can’t trust modern movies to not screw this up and make it a feminist statement movie, because neither T1 nor T2 were “feminist” movies.

I note that they have turned Mackenzie Davis in to a masculine woman for this movie.
While the movie is apparently a feminist tract they are also going for the Tran audience.
Hollywood going for the less than 0.1 percent of the movie going population.
