Devin Nunes Just Saw the FISA Warrant.
In the video Tucker Carlson tells Devin Nunes, 'Why don't you send it to me now (the unredacted and, presumably, still classified FISA warrants) and I'll put in on the air and let the public decide. Is there a penalty for that?"
Nunes than go on to explain that there is a penalty, and that the President needs to declassify this information. Nunes also said the redacted parts don't, in any way, affect national security.
Later in the same video, Carlson says to anyone listening,"I hope someone will leak it to me...and I hope someone will send that to me, we'll put it right on the air".
After the break, Carlson stated that he just received an email from "a very informed person in Washington" stating that Sen. Diane Feinstein entered the CIA "Torture Memo" into the record and was protected by the "Speech and Debate" clause and that complete immunity awaits anyone who sends the details of the redacted part of the FISA memo.
Carson said, "The public has a right to know".
” Sen. Diane Feinstein entered the CIA “Torture Memo” into the record and was protected by the “Speech and Debate” clause...”

Who thinks Nunes would get this protection?
Maybe a Republican Senator could do the same. However do any have a spine?
Yep, anything can be said on the floor and one cannot face charges. That’s free speech.
You’re funny! But seriously, I thought a member of Congress could pretty much say anything on the floor, and get away with it. (Legally, that is. Political suicide’s another subject altogether.)
For demolibs there is no penalty. Others, not so much.
so membersof the armed services or intelligence committees can divulge info about weapons or battle tactics as we go to war with someone. Is that the free speech you refer to?
Paging Ms. Linda? /s
Burr is out. He and Warner are probably under investigation for telling
Wolfe to leak documents. Wolfe could singing like a bird.
He has not been charged with leaking, but lying to the FBI.
So something is going on for him not to charged with leaking
classified documents.
I assume that you have seen the doc and know that it has war plans, weapon technology, etc., contained therein.
You must be a real insider to have such good inside info.
Where is Alfred E. Sessions?
Just release it.
DiFI ? The same DiFi who released info she shouldn’t have, then blamed the having a cold ? That DiFi ? Who nothing happened to ?
Who needs the stinkin “Speech and Debate” clause for protection ?
Yes, we do!
asking hypothetical question about the members of various committees to exercise free speech when it involves national security. See previous pot I responded to. So your answer is? It doesn’t come up?
I’m sure the Russians have it.
And CNN.
And MSNBC.
And NYT/Wapo
Yep, anything can be said on the floor and one cannot face charges. Thats free speech.
Yep, thats how Sen Reid was able to say that Romney didnt pay taxes and was able to get away with itCongressional immunity. Then there was the drunk Kennedy who claimed at 2am he was on his way to a meeting and couldnt be arrested for DUI. Members cannot be impeded on their way to Congress.
It’s said that D.C is loaded with leaks wonder if it holds true for this issue.
There is nothing in any of the docs under discussion that relates to the military so your post I referred to was an apples and oranges thing.
I think the basic problem we have in classifying docs is that we do not have a clear and distinct separation of military docs. policy docs and internal bureau operations docs.
The latter should have very little if any secure classification. There is absolutely nothing regarding US security in a warrant unless that warrant is part of an investigation into theft of military, weapons, spying or some major national defense criminal investigation.
There should also be a penalty for false classification of documents. As it is now, the swamp critters redact the number of toilet and smoking breaks as top secret, thus stymieing any attempt by congress to restrain their behavior.
non responsive to my post after two attempts. Bye now.
Maybe he could email himself a copy of it through an unsecured email server located in his washroom closet. No reasonable person would prosecute.
