The woman attacked had been in surgery all day and has not yet been identified at the time of the video. However, there is a photo of her and her rescuer here:

It will be necessary to scroll down a bit for the picture and expansion of the original story. Warning: the photo is graphic.
This is an update on the story:
Dog Owners Cited after Pack Attacked Woman Walking in Neighborhood
The dogs’ owner has been cited for a Class A misdemeanor, and this is not the first time.
Seriously? Another dog bashing thread?
When are you going to do the baby seal bashing threads? It sounds like your style.
Once again these are bad owners.
Being afraid of your own shadow is a miserable way to go through life.
Breed? Need I ask?
Where I live, the law requires that the dogs be under control on the property. If they are not properly fenced-in where they can’t get out, they’re required to be tied up. So that they cannot get loose.
While it will not happen, I would like to see a well-researched piece on the story and get a lot more detail. I’m somewhat surprised that it is only a misdemeanor for the dog owner here.
"The prevalence of particular dog breeds can also change rapidly over time, often influenced by distinct peaks of popularity for specific breeds. It seems that increased popularity is sometimes followed by increases in bite reports in some large breeds. For example there was a distinct peak in American Kennel Club registration of Rottweilers between 1990 and 1995, and they come at the top of the list of 'biting breeds' for the first time in studies of bites causing hospitalization in the late 90s and early 2000s
And right before Rotties, was Dobermans and before that was German Shepherds. Chow Chows are probably more apt to bite someone but they never became as popular as these other bad fad dogs.
Have you ever once searched for good pit bull stories?

There's quite a few of them. Saving babies from fires etc. I don't trust any of the pit bulls around here because most of the owners are meth heads that want a dog that will tear someone apart and most don't really have control over their dogs because they never taught basic obedience.
“...8 or 9 dogs...”
Yikes.
"Is there no one who can rid me of this vicious dog?"
