A similar — but far more dramatic — situation occurred on board a United flight. A male passenger who was running late for his flight decided to call in a hoax bomb threat to delay his plane from Cincinnati to Dallas in October 2017.
That’s a pretty good idea, except you want to use a phone that does not link back to you and if it is in a public place, wear a disguise. But that will just eat up the time you’re trying to save.

I’m seeing ads for this route on Norwegian all over the place down here. $199.00 one way.
The subset of Spirit Airlines customers who require adult supervision on a good day and heavy medication the rest of the time will be coming out of the woodwork at that price point. As if the UK needed more problems, Norwegian air just introduced a London rate that can be bought with an EBT card’s monthly fill.

With hundreds of other passengers and security involved for over three hours, there is no clue what the perp looks like, even if no name is divulged.
