Alex Trebek hints that he'll retire from 'Jeopardy!' in 2020, suggests successors

Alex Trebek has hinted that he may be ready to step away from Jeopardy! the game show hes hosted since 1984. He even went as far as to suggest potential replacements.
Speaking to Harvey Levin on the latest episode of OBJECTified, Trebek revealed theres more than a 50/50 chance hell step away from his hosting duties in 2020, once his contract is up.
Sure, he responded, when asked if he can see life beyond Jeopardy!

Never heard of either person he mentioned, which may be a good thing. The last thing “Jeopardy!” needs is a grinning fool like Steve Harvey or an over-caffeinated screamer like Kevin Hart.
I would, however, like to see them move the show more to the political center. With their Clinton News Network and New York Crimes connections, you have to wonder about some of the answers and questions presented each night.

Unlike most game shows, Jeopardy requires a high level of skill and intellect. The host needs to be someone with a similar level of Gravitas.
