Tried to open an account for a work related activity. My old account had been disabled (never used it).
When I tried to open a new account, it sent me a verification email with a code. Tried to enter the code and got a DB error.
At a time when FB is bleeding accounts, this strikes me as odd.
What is DB error. ?.....................

Sometimes it means DataBase, but not in this case.:)

I put in their verification code, the code you get in the email to verify you are the one actually opening the account, and I got a ‘DB error, come back later’.
That’s odd behavior. My email address is tied to my corporation. I have a fairly common name.

Facebook is a global company. If it is the case that today it is not possible to open a new facebook account, that would be news.
FB software may have recognized your IP address or MAC code as a machine they previously blocked.
You are correct, FB needs more accounts, both fake and real, to keep its Ponzi-scheme going, but they do have some minimal attempts to block users they don’t like.
Never posted anything from this account, ever. Nothing.
So, it’s odd that it was disabled in the first place. When I try to establish a new account, it doesn’t let me.
I even have another FB account I have for personal stuff, and it begs me to login. Been so long since I have I don’t even remember the password.
Haven’t been kicked out of that one.
I’m a multiple offender and parolee from Facebook Jail, having spoken out against “Zuck” and his gestapo army of lib snot nosed B@st@rds, along with multiple dems and socialists. I tried opening another account the last time I was locked out for 30 days, primarily so I could use the Messenger. It worked OK for a day or two, but then I got the same messages as you and they locked me out.

Could be also that inactivity made Facebook label yours as a fake account or "bot."
Try to create new account on a different machine or especially, at a different location.

Nope...have never joined any of those social media sites. Is it imperative that you have a Facebook account to complete the work-related activity? I’m not a technical person, but will ask anyway: why would you need a Facebook account for that?
