There used to be many songs in popular music that featured the word Bell. Which songs do YOU recall with that word in the title? For most people, the sound of a bell signified the moment something of great significance is happening. Two such examples include A. The Bells, as performed by Laura Nyro and Patti Labelle & the Bluebelles. from 1971. The song "The Bells" was written by Marvin Gaye and Iris Gordy, for the group The Originals. Laura and Patti Labelle do a fantastic take on it in the album called "It's Gonna Take A Miracle".
When I want to bring my spirits up, I listen to an album like this one. Other redos on that album include, "I met him on a Sunday. by The Shirelles, You Really Got a Hold on Me, by Smokey Robinson, and Jimmy Mack by Martha & the Vandellas. Both women are examples of pure talent and showmanship. Back then, long before Lady Marmalade, no one knew how big Labelle would become as a group. Here, they act soley as hired backup singers. Even in this understated role, Labelle gives it their all. Tricky harmonizing, gospel deliveries and just enough not to overwhelm the lead, Laura, who had a much more delicate voice.
B. Michael Oldfields :Tubular Bells.is another example. It's from the movie The Exorcist. Once you have heard it in context, you won't forget it. I'll let another poster analyze that classic album. It remains haunting to this very day.
(To this day I still like the backup females in the song. I tried to find out who they were and I have had no success.)
Claptons Bell Bottom Blues my favorite Clapton song.

It is cheating because “bell” is not in the title, but the song “If I had a Hammer” does have “bell” in the song.
If I had a bell
I’d ring it in the morning
I’d ring it in the evening
All over this land
I’d ring out danger
I’d ring out a warning
I’d ring out love between
My brothers and my sisters
All over this land, oh
Nothing like a good old commie hippie song to make you feel all warm and fuzzy all over.
Does the theme song from the TV show “Saved by the Bell” count?

Saved by the Bell was a great show.
What a surprise that the greatest Hollywood survivor turns out to be Mario Lopez. Most would have bet on Mark Paul Gosselaar, who played the show’s lead. Mark grew up to be less photogenic than Mario. Life isn’t always fair.
Similar to what happened with Clint Howard, the former child actor in TV series Gentle Ben. Clint was a cute kid, but has a rather odd (wild) look as an adult, suitable for character roles only. Mario found is niche, which is interviewing other people.

Children who physically mature fast often are popular in school but as full grown adults they look their age or older.
Those awkward baby faced kids that look 2 grades too young in school get teased and tormented, but then they look 30 when they are 40 and are a lot more popular as full grown adults.
A lot of child stars were sabotaged because their youthful comeliness did not blossom into their adulthood. Some did, but many didn’t. When your looks are 90% of the game in Hollywood, that is not a prescription for lasting success.
