Guy Molinari, a former congressman, borough president and lasting influence over Staten Island and citywide Republican politics has died, according to the boroughs Republican party.
Molinari, 89, was the dean of the Staten Island GOP even as he often feuded with some of its elected officials. His name, which is emblazoned on the side of a ferryboat in the Staten Island Ferry fleet, loomed large in nearly every borough political matter.
His support of Rudy Giuliani helped him become mayor and their close relationship paid dividends for Staten Island. This was a great man. “Staten Island’s grandfather,” as he was often called.
RIP.
OK. I see he was 89.
Makes sense. No reason to suspect Arkancide or anything.
He had a daughter names Susan IIRC who was cute as can be.
Yes , recall her election to replace her dad. March 1990

(hope my wife doesn’t see this - yikes!)

Sometimes I too get it for a chick that’s not all that attractive, just something about them.
Much RIP to Mr. Molinari, he sounded like a strong leader for SI Republicans.
