GRRRR-—one of the few shows I like!!

Oh well, we killed cable and have HULU live and I’ve been watching “The Path”-—real good show.

That was my favorite show going. It did get a little crazy with the emotions following the death of their son. Based on what they have been through, I would expect the husband and wife relationship to have been stronger. But.....

Disappointed. I want to see the humans win the war.

I’m watching The 100 with my grandson. It is challenging. First, it’s written for people under 25 and, second, it strings out a two hour story into a couple of seasons. But he likes it, and it’s time together.

I have never watched this show. However, one thing that puts me off on TV shows these days is the continuing nature of series' like Colony. I prefer to watch shows in which each episode is its own story. I can take the occasional 2 or 3 parter, but would rather not get tied down to a season-long story. I'm not saying I never watch such shows, but I don't need to get hooked on new ones.

Too bad for Josh Holloway. My wife and I both enjoyed his previous show Intelligence, which only lasted a season (or was it only half a season). It had a continuing story arc as well.

Hoping this gets picked up by Amazon or Netflix but I doubt it.

Yet another series that USA/SciFi screws up.

I understand it’s still undecided for next season.

My wife and I use amazon prime. We’ve not had television since spring of 1997, but last year we found out this came with our prime membership so we gave it a try. We watched a few “modern” TV shows through a few episodes, but they are mostly soap operas. That is, the story drags on and on and you feel like the writers are making it up as they go along.

We did get hooked on suits for a while, because of the courtroom drama and backroom stuff. But even it fell into soap opera territory.

We just stick with movies and old TV shows (each episode has a beginning and an end) now.

Don’t feel too bad. I never saw the last episode of “Cliffhanger” back in the 70’s or 80’s and only Part 1 of 2 of the end of “Star Trek: Deep Space 9”. Working on DP9. Don’t think anyone remember “Cliffhanger”, and they could be lucky.

I'm the same way. The auto recording of systems today and the ability to watch something on demand makes following shows easier. But I am not dedicated enough to work at all to "keep up" with some TV show. If I want to be distracted, I want Good Vs. bad. I want a beginning a plot and an end.

NCIS used to be a GREAT show. It's getting hard to follow any more if you don't know the story from other episodes.

“we killed cable and have HULU live...”

I need to cut the cord, and I’m considering various streaming services Hulu is one, but I don’t have a good idea of what they offer. If I could get just 5 networks, they would probably be FNC, The Food Channel, Fox Sports Detroit, FOX broadcast network and AMC. On the latter two, there are are only a few shows I’m interested in.

May I ask how much you pay for HULU live and get some idea of what’s available on it?

This is what killed off the Disney hour on Sunday evenings years ago. Who wants to watch a show when you might not be around to see every episode for some reason or other?

I liked the first season of Suits. A kid had a great memory and used it as a tool for his ruse of a life. He had to skirt the system of high profile attorneys and helped to win cases. Then it went to hell. It became ALL about relationships between him and girls, and bosses, and old friends, and competitors.... What about winning court cases? Remember that? I gave it up in season #2.

Oh yes I definitely remember Cliffhanger with Susan Anton. So rude to kill off a show without closing out the story lines.
Read somewhere that there was a made-for-TV movie that closed out Cliffhanger’s story lines but I never saw it.

I understand it’s still undecided for next season.

Yesterday, Collider.com, had a list of shows that had been renewed or cancelled. Colony was listed as "cancelled".

Haven’t seen Halloway since Lost. Sawyer was my favorite character. Was hilarious.

“But he likes it, and it’s time together.”

The young ladies in The 100 aren’t exactly ugly.

He may be too young, but probably not.

Intelligence was about a guy who was essentially a walking computer. He had a computer chip implanted in his brain, and he could interface with other computers. He had been some sort of macho serviceman or agent before the implant. The show featured Marg Helgenberger as the head of the agency and Meghan Ory (who I thought was one of the most beautiful actresses on TV at the time) as his handler.

And I’m too old. They look like kids that have not fully developed yet. but that’s just me. To me they mostly look like boys with breast implants. We do have to scan past the sex scenes. It’s a pg-13 and he’s 14, but still.

I gotta say that there were a couple of cool scenes, but there are so many plot holes you can drive a bus through that It’s hard for me to take the show seriously.

Kinda like the “key” Mike knew nothing about in Suits. sometimes you do what you gotta do to keep the story moving.

Didn’t have the ratings. It’s all a numbers game, does the show pay for itself, or not. That’s the goal, they don’t care if the show is good, does it turn a profit. And it’s not like they didn’t advertise the heck out of it. Just didn’t find the audience.
