Democrats are now 'soft favorites' to take the House, according to an analysis by University of Virginia political scientist Larry Sabato and his team.
The latest periodic installment of Sabato's 'Crystal Ball' newsletter handicapping congressional the elections shifts 17 House races in the direction of Democrats.
Race-by-race rankings are moving several GOP incumbents into the tossup category. Among them are Texas Rep. John Culberson, Illinois Rep. Peter Roskam, Indiana Rep. Steve Chabot, and Iowa Rep. David Young.

Not only Maxine as that, But Schiff head of intell, and guess who as judiciary.
LMAO, Larry Sabato will be wrong AGAIN.
That should be all ANYBODY needs to ignore this one! Thank you.
Larry is not a pollster.
Sabato predicted Kemp would lose in Georgia today.
Kemp won in a landslide.
Sabato is a maroon.
Out of 50 states, Larry was wrong on 4 states - not too shabby. He had Florida as a toss up along with the two congressional districts - one each in Maine and Nebraska. He did call Ohio and Iowa correctly for Trump, but missed on PA, MI, WI and NC.
Who needs a map? Larry was wrong on 4 states - NC, PA, MI and WI
Hillary was to be president.
That is the Daily Mail error. I read the article Drudge linked to today and UVA Center had it correct.
Yes, he is biased. I believe he single handedly defeated George Allen in a Virginia Senate race about 10 years ago. He did not hide his disdain for Allen.
Thanks.
But the difference was Clinton was in the last few years of his second term. This is Trump's first term and I'm not certain how you run for reelection as an impeached president.
That is the main reason, the pubs have got to keep the House. This midterm is as important as the 2016 Pres election.

IOW, wishful thinking, and he's just another Demagogic Party nitwit who should not be anywhere near a teaching job.
I’m not sure I agree the dems will prevail. I am sure however, that if or when the dems retake the house, their 1st order of business will be impeachment and facts won’t be needed.
UGH Guess I have to hold my nose and vote for Peter Roskam...Again :(
Tho he did support Trump tax reform, prior to the election, his support for Trump was tepid at best...
John Culberson is Texas District 7 which is West Suburban Houston.
About as Republican as you get.
Yeppers
However, there is a rabid crowd out in the country, who really don't know what the FBI and the DOJ did and really do think Trump won a crooked election (I have talked to some and their ignorance is genuine), or they are upset that it was only an electoral college victory, etc.
The media has lied to the detriment of this country and the Dem grassroots will burn down Washington (not necessarily a bad thing) if the House does not vote for impeachment. That is a huge expectation with these people that I don't think the calmer Dem politicians can tamp down.
It also does not help when Rubio says he thinks the FISA warrant is appropriate.
“Analyst Larry Sabato puts the Democrats’ chances at better than 50 per cent”
uh, daily mail, that’s hardy a ‘wipe out’ ... oh, and that fool Sabato (like the rest of the American punditry) was grotesquely incorrect with their prolongations that Hillary had a 95% chance of winning in 2016 ... so why exactly should these partisan hacks suddenly be considered credible? ... especially since Trump has the U.S. economy in the best shape since Ronald Reagan, the Dems literally have zero platform except hate Trump, and their upstart youngster back-benchers are pushing communism, advocating abolishing law enforcement agencies, and pushing for unchecked illegal immigration from the entire world ... that shite may play in the U.K., but I promise you it does NOT play in fly-over America ...
They were below the standards of FR, but are no longer.
