But the Liebian Building in southwest part of the country has turned the spout on a 350-gusher that flows from the side of the structure down to a public plaza in the citys central business district
The electricity needed to keep the monstrous mountain of water flowing costs about $118 per hour.
Its quite novel, one local told Kanka News. If you do it on a hot day, it will feel very comfortable. It is still very eye-catching.

We spend the money, and the Chinese get the fun stuff. Who said they are all work and no play?

maybe they should put a waterfall generator at the bottom...
Nice picture. Wonder what it will look like 5 years from now. I’m guessing similar to the Bejing Olympic complex.
It is nice to see our money is not being wasted /s
I’m guessing the waterfall also generates a lot of noise for the office occupants.
Looks more like a building that just saw Hillary wearing her muumuu.
Well, that’s one way to cool a building.

But that might screw up the ice climbing?
Better to have GIANT DRINKING BIRDS dipping their beaks in the runoff and driving the generators.
Some poor sucker is going to have to clean the hard water stains...or since it’s China, probably not. :)
It looks really cool. Its also hugely wasteful. When the real estate bubble in China bursts - and it will given they have a national debt of 300% of GDP - this will be cited as a prime example of the kind of wastefulness that caused all the pain to follow.
But yeah, it does look really cool.
Stupid.
Depending on the water, there is the possibility of some nice stalagmites and stalactites growing nearby.
With proper additives, they could be grown in a rainbow of colors.
And depending on the summer water temperatures...
Might want to keep an eye out for Legionella...
Especially if they are having a geezer convention in the area.
Am I the only one that misread that the first time?
Leasing brochure says that the Koo-Ling Tower has the world’s most wasteful and high-maintenance heat exchanger for AC system, but it looks great doing it.

I, for one, enjoy the beauty produced by our new overlords.
NB: What you see here is part of the creative process; they are learning and advancing.
Recall, they only copy...
From where did the Chinese this beauty?
This building could never happen in most of the USA.
The permits, approvals, NIMBY...
And near ZERO possibility in Europe.
We are being eclipsed at our own game.
They build skyscrapers and destroyers, we build/make nothing....
That’s one way to cut plumbing costs...
Sure seems that way.
