Did you see a “crappy neighborhood” in that video?

The perps didn’t even have a “crappy” car.

Bishop Arts neighborhood is in the middle of Oak Cliff. Its a trendy crappy area. You can get a latte and a crack whore within walking distance.

Whenever I hear “arts district,” I think of a recently-”gentrified” crappy neighborhood. We have some of those in Houston, like the Heights, Midtown, and now “EaDo.” These are places where you can pay $500,000 or more for the privilege of living in a 1,000 square foot bungalow, walk to fancy restaurants, and experience just as much risk of a mugging or car burglary as you would have in a much poorer neighborhood.

Everyone I know who lives in the Heights has been mugged or had their cars broken into at least once. One was mugged in broad daylight answering his front door. Yet houses still go for $400k to $1.5 million there.
