But the height & scoop effect of the top of the shoe could be a real problem at speed and in a windstorm, imho. She could make the top 1/4 or so of the shoe closed off with a kind of storage space behind a black panel to decrease the wind-scoop effect.
Actually I was reading something (or watching?) just this morning saying that the DS and/or pedos use red shoes as a signal. Can’t verify it at this point.
Also, I’d say don’t throw out your red shoes (unless you’re a man. There is no reason for a man to have red shoes unless he is on a sports team that is wearing them.)
(have to agree that is sort of a cool contraption)
