Roseanne Barr once again attempted to tell her side of the story about her controversial Valerie Jarret tweet, maintaining that she thought Jarrett “was white” and claimed her namesake show was canceled because she “voted for Donald Trump.”
Barr’s explanation came in the form of a video on her YouTube page, introducing viewers to her “own studio” where she said she can talk to the public “without the filter of the biased media.”
She recalled getting a phone call from ABC, in which she said she was asked “to explain my ‘egregious and unforgivable tweet,’” referring to her racially charged May post in which she said Jarrett, who is African-American and born in Iran, was like the “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby.”

It doesn’t matter what Roseanne thought.
If you are a liberal PC darling, you can say any damn thing you want. And if you are are called on it, you can just say that you have “evolved”. Then all is forgiven.
Example:
Hillary Clinton said in 2000 that she believed marriage was “always between a man and a woman.” But Hillary is a liberal PC darling. So she has evolved. The gays love her.
But if you are not a liberal PC darling, then every last thing you said will be held against you. Even if it was an innocent remark made 50 years ago.
How is one African-American if they’re born in Iran wouldn’t they be African Iranian
There was an article posted here on FR within the last week that gave her 23 & Me or similar gene test results as 54% white, 41% black, and 5% Native American (or thereabouts).
People are people. I believe profoundly in the power of Culture. I don’t believe in ‘race’.
Valerie Jarrett IS an African American woman. The record seems to also show that she comes from a family steeped in Socialist/Communist thinking. The latter is what matters.

All the main character apes in Planet of the Apes were white in color.
Yeah, like the 9th circuit judge candidate that was pulled for what he wrote as an assignment in college.
She does look something like Helena Bonham Carter playing Ari the chimpanzee in the Planet of the Apes remake. Helena Bonham Carter is white, of course. It’s the narrow nose, the delicate features, and the rather mask-like appearance.
VJ would be quite attractive without the mask-look.
Looks more like a shape shifter from Deep Space 9.
Not a Roseanne fan but I didn’t know ValJar was black either. I thought she was Iranian.

I’d bet my last dollar Michelle or Barack called ABC and demanded she be fired.

Doesn’t she own the show? Why not just see if another network will pick it up?
